Spring cleaning isn’t just about tidying up—it's the perfect time to clear out old batteries and bulbs! The Woodlands Township invites residents to bring select items for a free, one-day special collection at the 3R Recycling Drive-Thru, located at the Sterling Ridge Park & Ride on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon.  Hands-On Backyard Composting
Discover how to transform kitchen scraps, yard trimmings, and leaves into nutrient-rich compost at our final class of the season on March 8, 2025, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at 8203 Millennium Forest Drive. The class is outdoors and hands-on as you learn this simple, cost-effective way to compost in your own backyard. No registration required.
 Planting Roots for a Greener Future
The Woodlands is living up to its name! Through the 49th Annual Arbor Day Tree Giveaway and the 11th Annual Community Tree Planting, residents and Township staff came together to nurture our urban forest. With over 15,000 native tree seedlings distributed and 1,355 trees planted, our community is creating a thriving habitat for wildlife, improving air and water quality, and preserving our natural beauty.
