Arbor Day Tree Giveaway
Join us for the 49th Annual Arbor Day Tree Giveaway on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon, at The Lodge at Rob Fleming Park to receive free native seedlings and learn about their many benefits for local pollinators, water quality, wildlife and more! This year, there are 12 featured native tree seedlings, consisting of a variety of overstory and understory trees. This is a free event for The Woodlands residents. Quantities are limited, and species are subject to change. Limit of two seedlings of each variety per family, while supplies last.
Since 1977, more than 1.5 million seedlings have been shared with residents to plant in their yard, in community open space reserves, and in forest preserves. Participate in one of The Woodlands' longest standing traditions and help plant trees today for our community to enjoy for years to come!
 Community Tree Planting
Join us at The Lodge at Rob Fleming Park to help reforest the surrounding greenspace at the 11th Annual Community Tree Planting on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon. This is a great opportunity for friends, families, and service groups to give back to our community. Township staff and volunteers will work side by side to help reforest recently cleared areas of pines in the space between The Lodge and pond at Rob Fleming Park. Staff have removed non-native vines and vegetation from multiple areas throughout the park to be replanted with native trees and shrubs to create habitat for pollinators and native wildlife. Sign up to volunteer today and start the year by giving back to your community!
