Sealing these up will keep the warmth in and cut down on energy bills. Replacing worn weather stripping and adding heavier curtains can help keep that heat inside, while reversing ceiling fans will push warm air back down where you want it. Don’t forget to insulate any exposed pipes to avoid freezing, especially in unheated areas. Make sure you have essentials on hand and refresh your emergency kit with winter supplies.

Residential lots in The Woodlands have been developed to keep as much of the natural forest as possible. To preserve our forested environment and continue an ecological balance, The Woodlands Township regulates tree removals and requires replanting.
Before removing existing trees, please review The Woodlands Covenants for specific guidelines concerning removal. Remember: Any tree over a six-inch diameter requires a permit and inspection to remove.
Plan before you replant. Consider the mature height of the tree and its proximity to your home's foundation, sidewalks, and easements. Also, evaluate the soil type (sandy, clay, wet, or dry), as it affects tree health and appearance.
