 A Message from Nat the Knight
Hello, fellow residents of The Woodlands! I'm Nat the Knight, the official mascot of National Night Out. I'm here to tell you all you ever wanted to know about National Night Out on Sunday, October 6, 2024, and how YOU can get involved!
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods a safer, better place to live.
Each year, residents of The Woodlands are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend an evening outside with neighbors. Neighbor knowing neighbor is one of the most effective ways to prevent crime. Local law enforcement and The Woodlands Fire Department will briefly visit with residents of many of the neighborhoods who register their parties with the Township!
Mark your calendar for Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 3 to 6 p.m. and join the Township to give crime a going away party! And keep reading to find out all the ways that you can participate!

 Host A Neighborhood Gathering

Who? Any resident can organize a National Night Out Party! Neighborhood Services will provide you with everything you need, including the handy National Night Out Party Guide! Registered parties will receive a visit from law enforcement or The Woodlands Fire Department.

What? You choose the beverages, food or activities that are right for your neighborhood. Everyone can contribute. The most important ingredient is PEOPLE.

When? Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 3 to 6 p.m. To ensure a visit from public safety, please have your party start at 3 p.m. and end at 6 p.m.

Where? In your neighborhood! In the driveway, at the cul-de-sac or the park across the street. Bring your lawn chair and a smile on your face. Remember, neighbor knowing neighbor is the first step in crime prevention.

How? Register your party! The final day to register your party is Friday, September 27, 2024.
 Everything You Need to Know
Packet Pick-Up Day:
Pick up your party packet on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at The Woodlands Township, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd. Packets include available supplies such as balloons, T-shirts, giveaways, yard signs, party ideas, kid activities and more!
Food Drive:
Please collect nonperishable food items at your party from the list of items in your packet. Drop off donations at Interfaith of The Woodlands, 4242 Interfaith Way, from October 7 through October 11, 2024, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Military Drive:
Support our military and collect items at your party for Boots for Troops from the list of items in your packet. Donated items will be accepted at The Woodlands Township, from October 7 through October 11, 2024, between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
I.D. the Burglar Challenge:
One party from each village will be drawn from the registered parties. A "burglar" along with a "good guy" will be escorted by a Montgomery County Sheriff's Office deputy to the chosen party from each village. The neighborhood must work together as a team to help identify the burglar.
Please make sure to select these options on the Party Registration Form (Food Drive, Military Drive, and I.D. the Burglar) so that we know you are participating.
