 Enjoy Fireworks and Festivities
The Woodlands Township invites residents to celebrate Labor Day weekend on Sunday, September 1, 2024, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Waterway Square, 31 Waterway Square Place. This free event offers live music by Rule 77 (Variety), children’s activities, strolling entertainment, pie-eating contests and fireworks (weather permitting). Please note, the Town Center Trolleys will run from noon to 10 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to sign up for text alerts for important event updates by texting LABORDAY24 to 877-949-3956.
Please note, The Woodlands Township offices will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2024, in observance of the holiday. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
There will be no disruption to residential trash and recycling collection as a result of the holiday.
 Ride for Free on Fridays in September
In recognition of Commute Solutions Month, The Woodlands Township invites you to try out The Woodlands Express Park and Ride on “Free Fare Fridays.” On any Friday in September, “Free Fare Fridays” will offer free transportation for any passengers who wish to take The Woodlands Express, no tickets required. Whether you are a seasoned passenger, or a first-time rider, Free Fare Friday is offered to anyone, (passengers under 12 must be accompanied by an adult), and seats are available on a first-come first-served basis. Regular schedule and routes still apply. Please join The Woodlands Township in celebrating Commute Solutions Month, and #TryTownshipTransit.
 Remember the Fallen
The Woodlands Township will host Patriot Day of Remembrance on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 7:30 to 8 a.m., at Central Fire Station, 9951 Grogan’s Mill Road, The Woodlands, TX 77380. The community is invited to attend the ceremony honoring the brave men and women who tragically lost their lives during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Limited parking is available onsite at Central Fire Station. The event will also be streamed live on The Woodlands Township Fire Department’s Facebook page.
