 Board Holds Budget Workshops
The Woodlands Township Board of Directors held their annual Budget Workshop sessions beginning on Monday, August 19, 2024, and concluding on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. The Board spent many hours reviewing the upcoming budget and initiatives they wish to pursue on behalf of residents in the next fiscal year along with evaluating staffing and facility needs. The Board of Directors will hold a Special Board Meeting on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 5 p.m. to adopt the 2025 Budget and the 2024 Tax Rate. Read the Boardroom Briefing.
The Board will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 6 p.m. at Town Hall. The meeting is open and the public is invited to attend. For those unable to attend in person, meetings are livestreamed on the Township website.
 New Fire Station No. 5 Underway
The Woodlands Township and The Woodlands Fire Department held a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, August 22, 2024, signifying the start of construction on a new Fire Station No. 5. Located at 8001 McBeth Way near the Sterling Ridge Park and Ride, the new fire station will comprise 23,000 square feet. The new two-story station meets the expansion needs of the department and moves the station out and allowing for a more efficient response to its coverage area.
 Township Blood Drive
The Woodlands Township, in collaboration with the local Post 305 American Legion, will host a Salute to First Responders Blood Drive on August 29, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 2801 Technology Forest Blvd. Residents are invited to participate in this important cause by donating blood to those in need.
