A Message from the Board

As we reflect on the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl, we are reminded of the resilience and strength of our community. This Category 1 hurricane made landfall on the Texas coast at 4 a.m. on Monday, July 8, 2024, and swiftly moved through our region, hitting The Woodlands around 7 a.m. with its most intense winds felt at 10 a.m. Unlike the prolonged deluge of Hurricane Harvey, Beryl passed through quickly, leaving our area by the early evening. Nevertheless, its impact was profound. 

Storm Debris Collection

During a Declared Disaster, the county assumes responsibility for the removal of storm debris. The Woodlands Township does not remove storm debris. Waste Management will remove any debris that complies with their curbside guidelines.

Residents should separate yard and vegetative debris from construction debris. Do not mix these items. Your debris may not be removed if these items are mixed. When placing items curbside, avoid putting debris on the road or in ditches to prevent blocking traffic or drainage. Please be patient as the debris removal process will take some time to complete. 

County Debris Removal
Residents must submit a Debris Removal Request form to either Harris or Montgomery County depending on your county of residence. It is a requirement to complete this form.

Self-Disposal, Recycling Facilities and Waste Management Curbside Services
Please see the Hurricane Beryl Recovery FAQ for detailed instructions and guidelines regarding bringing smaller vegetative debris to various recycling centers along with Waste Management's guidelines for Bulky Trash Service and curbside guidelines for branches/fallen leaves under the 4” inches by 4’ feet by 40-pound threshold. Township Facility Updates

As the Township continues to recover from Hurricane Beryl, various operations have been impacted by power outages and ongoing repairs. Town Hall, located at 2801 Technology Forest Blvd., has reopened for regular business hours. The Woodlands Express and Town Center Trolleys have resumed their regular service schedules.

UPCOMING EVENTS 

To assist residents in the recovery process,  Township Covenant Administration  has adjusted some of the application and deposit requirements through September 30, 2024, to allow for residents to make repairs to their properties in an expedited manner.

The detailed requirements can be viewed on the Township website (Question 12).
Please note, these adjustments apply to tree removal, fence repairs, major home repairs as a result of storm damage and roof replacements and repairs.
