Avoid Travel Delays
The Woodlands Triathlon is set for Saturday, May 11, 2024, beginning at 7 a.m. Please expect traffic delays in and around the race route. Residents are encouraged to use alternate routes as areas along the race course will be closed to traffic from 6 to 10:30 a.m.
The race will start and finish at Northshore Park and portions of the roadway will be impacted by the race, including:

Lake Woodlands, Gosling, Research Forest, Woodlands Parkway, Cochran’s Crossing Drive, Grogan’s Mill Road
To ensure runner and spectator safety for the event, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will be responsible for closing and re-opening lanes on streets along the race route.
 Pre-season Pools Open May 11
The time has finally arrived to splash into summer! Pre-season pools open tomorrow, Saturday, May 11, 2024. Pre-Season weekend pools are open Saturdays from noon to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 6 p.m. The Pre-Season weekday pool is open from noon to 6 p.m. (closed on Wednesdays for maintenance). Grab your towels, sunscreen and Season Pass and swim into summer at the Township pools!
 Board of Directors Meetings
The Woodlands Township Board of Directors will hold a Budget Planning Session on Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Town Hall, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd.
The Woodlands Township Board of Directors will hold a regular meeting on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 6 p.m. at Town Hall, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd.
Both meetings are open and the public is invited to attend. If you are unable to attend in person, meetings are also livestreamed via the Township website.
 May is Bike Month
The Woodlands Township, with support from Bike The Woodlands Coalition, will host several activities throughout the month of May in celebration of National Bike Month, in efforts to create a better community through bicycling.

Bike to Work Week: Wednesday, May 15 through Friday, May 17, 2024, from 6:30 to 9 a.m. at various locations

Bands, Badges & Bikes: Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Northshore Park
- Other activities throughout the month of May include social rides for all levels of riders, bike maintenance and educational workshops, a ride challenge and more.
