If you receive unemployment documents from the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) but haven’t signed up for Electronic Correspondence (EC), consider the following benefits:

  • EC is paperless.
  • EC protects identifiable information, such as employees’ Social Security numbers and employer account numbers.
  • With EC you can open unemployment documents from a secure online inbox.
  • With EC you get most unemployment documents in your inbox, such as statements, determinations, chargeback notices, and benefits forms and notices.
  • Receiving unemployment documents electronically allows you to respond to notices faster.
  • You will always know when there is a new document in your inbox because we send a notification to the email address linked to your Employer Benefits Services (EBS) account.
  • Signing up for EC is easy. Log in to your EBS account and select the Benefits eCorrespondence tab on your home page.

For more information about EC, please read our Electronic Correspondence User Guide.

If you do not want to sign up for EC, you should specify a designated address. A designated address is a single mailing address where TWC sends all unemployment documents. For more information about designating an address, please read our Other Services User Guide.

TWC is experiencing an increase in unemployment insurance fraud. Employers commonly are some of the first to discover fraudulent unemployment claims. If you suspect unemployment insurance fraud, please access the Reporting Fraud webpage. If you have difficulties accessing or using the online portal to report ID theft, please send an email to TWC.fraud@twc.state.tx.us or leave a message at the TWC Fraud Hotline at 800-252-3642.
