TWC to Hold Online COVID-19 Press Briefing Today

Submit Questions to media@twc.state.tx.us for the briefings

AUSTIN - Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Spokesman Cisco Gamez will host media briefings three times a week starting April 13 to update media on the latest developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic process These briefings, which will occur on Monday, Wednesday and Friday until further notice, will be an opportunity for media to get the latest information on unemployment insurance issues, including the rollout of the federal Pandemic Unemployment Assistance and other issues.

Media may submit all questions by Facebook or to media@twc.state.tx.us prior to the event. Gamez will include an update and answer questions from the media during the 30-minute live event, which will be held on the TWC Facebook page at facebook.com/texasworkforcecommission. Media are encouraged to use video and audio for their broadcasts.

Media briefings will be held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the COVID-19 crisis.
