With temperatures soaring and Waco officially hitting the 100-degree mark, the need for heat relief is more critical than ever. The Waco Fire Department's "Cool the Heat" program, in partnership with Mission Waco, is actively working to provide fans to the city's most vulnerable residents.
The program is still seeking donations of new, in-box fans. You can help by dropping off your donation at your nearest Waco fire station.
If you or someone you know is in need of a fan, you can receive one by visiting Mission Waco at 1315 N. 15th Street.
