City Offices Will be Closed

City of Waco offices will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 26. Residents with a Monday trash collection day will have their gray waste carts and blue recycling carts collected later on Wednesday, May 28.

Save A Life

Be ready to save a life! The Waco Fire Department, in collaboration with the American Red Cross, is offering a free 30-minute hands-only CPR class at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 24 at the Doris Miller Community Center, 1020 Elm Ave. No registration required.

More than 350,000 cardiac arrests occur outside a hospital each year. Learn how to deliver lifesaving CPR care without rescue breaths and be prepared. When you immediately provide hands-only CPR, you can increase the chance of survival.

Cool the Heat Fan Program

The Waco Fire Department is kicking off their Cool the Heat program benefiting Waco’s most vulnerable residents during extreme heat emergencies.

Donate new in-box fans at your nearest fire station today! 

Mission Waco, will distribute the fans to local individuals and families who need them most. Visit Mission Waco at 1315 N. 15th Street to receive a fan.

Pet Circle Needs You!

Do you have some photography experience? Whether you're a pro with your phone camera or a professional camera, or just love snapping sweet pup pics, Pet Circle needs your help!

Volunteer to take their glam shots! Current volunteers are welcome as well! Don’t worry, they will go over the best practices for snazzy photos and bringing dogs to play yard for their moments to shine!

• Where: Pet Circle Regional Animal Center
• When: They will work with your schedule to find a fit – even an hour helps!
• Why: Pet Circle is overfull. The faster we can get quality photos taken of pups on site, the faster they can get them online and available for adoption. YOU could be the reason a pup gets adopted!

Drop Off Services at Cobbs Recycling Center

Did you know you have access to convenient, self-service recycling and trash drop off at Cobbs Recycling Center? Bring your items Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 4201 Trice Ave. 

• Anyone can bring recyclable material like paper, cardboard, #1 and #2 plastics, glass, household batteries, and more.
• At no additional cost, Waco residents can drop off bulky or brush waste, latex paint, or electronic waste up to four times a year (with proof of Waco residency).
• For an additional cost, Waco residents can also drop off appliances containing freon and tires.
