Come check out the new location and on April 12 enjoy music by The Lindsley Brothers, Waco Quilt Guild Quilt Sale, and Easter Bunny Photos benefitting Talitha Koum. Get free food vouchers on April 23 by visiting the educational booths at the Care for Waco Carnival. Get a free tree seedling on April 26 from Waco Friends of the Climate in honor of Earth Day.
Discovery Activity: Nature Journal
APRIL 9-12, 10-11am, During open hours at Urban REAP, 1509 N 15th St. This month’s Discovery Activity is a Nature Journal! This journal includes activities, such as ABCs of Nature, writing a poem, creating nature stamps, and includes plenty of space to draw what you see in nature. Stop by REAP during our open hours to pick yours up and start adventuring around Urban REAP for inspiration! Our Discovery Activities are free and family-friendly DIY activities available the second week of every month. Supplies are available during our open hours, with staff available to answer questions as needed. Grab a beverage or paleta from one of our neighborhood shops and explore nature with us!
Baylor Pollinator Appreciation Day
APRIL 12, 9-11am, Baylor Community Garden, corner of 9th and James Ave. Please join us at the Baylor Community Garden as we learn from experts about the importance of pollinator conservation, and what Baylor is doing to help make our campus a pollinator haven. Attendees will have the chance to plant native plants in the garden and make a bee habitat to bring home!

How has grid reliability improved since 2021? How far can you go on a charge? Why doesn't it have a tailpipe? How do you find charging stations? What careers are related to the electrified transportation sector? How do I convert my old gas car into an EV? Why do EVs have lower maintenance costs? Are BEV buses, trucks, and farm tractors available? What happens to the batteries? Lebron James owns a what?!?!? Your opportunity to learn about real Electric Vehicles from real owners! Sustainable Resource Practices Advisory Board Meeting

Party for the Planet at Cameron Park Zoo
APRIL 19, 9am-2pm, Cameron Park Zoo, 1701 North 4th Street In the Zoo and Aquarium world we call our Earth Day event Party for the Planet. This year for Earth Day we would like to showcase our community and all that is done to support green practices and awareness. We will also have crafts and games for the whole family to enjoy! Care for Waco Carnival

Bridge Street The Waco Youth Council in partnership with the City of Waco Office of Sustainability is putting on the Care for Waco Carnival on Wednesday, April 23 from 5-8pm at the Farmers Market by Bridge Street. This event is for the whole family. There will be games and educational booths where you can earn free food vouchers as you learn about sustainable living practices.
Community Workshop: Spring Garden Planning
