In the earlier February 21 issue of the Neighborhood Newsletter, we mistakenly included the incorrect date for the Polar Plunge. The Polar Plunge was rescheduled and the date has been corrected below. We apologize if this error caused any inconvenience or confusion.

 The Texas Department of Transportation is gearing up for a major four-year expansion project on Interstate 35. Construction is scheduled to begin this month and will focus on the stretch between 12th Street and Highway 6. The $234 million project will result in eight main lanes, continuous frontage roads with redesigned ramps, enhanced pedestrian and bicycle safety with new sidewalks, and rebuilt crossings with U-turn lanes. The Valley Mills Drive crossing will see the biggest change with the removal of the northbound flyover.
 The City of Waco is currently developing its 2025 Annual Action Plan to improve housing options and encourage community development in the City. This plan determines how the City of Waco spends federal funding from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME).
