Most people don't realize you only have two minutes to escape a home fire. Roughly 2/3 of residential fire deaths occur in homes with no smoke alarms or non–working smoke alarms, primarily due to missing or expired batteries.
This year for Fire Prevention Week, make smoke alarms work for you! Through the Home Fire Campaign, the Waco Fire Department, in partnership with the American Red Cross, will help install free smoke alarms and teach you about home fire safety!
