The tree is a rapid growing evergreen, medium size, drought tolerant, Texas native, that thrives in McLennan County, and is often used as a windbreak. The carbon sink quality of trees helps combat the climate crisis. Trees also reduce the urban heat island effect, produce cooling shade, assist biodiversity, help purify the air, slow erosion, and are soothing to humans. Seedling recipients are also given planting and care instructions, data on the carbon sink potential, and our business card containing 16 actions individuals can take to combat the climate crisis. More information: text 254.744.1682.
