Hundreds of Waco residents celebrated the Independence Day at the annual Fourth on the Brazos event. The free family-friendly event held at McLane Stadium’s Touchdown Alley featured food trucks, family activities, an incredible performance by Steve Augeri (former lead singer of Journey), and the spectacular H-E-B Fireworks Extravaganza.
Huge thanks to the Parks & Recreation team for all their hard work to make this another incredible Independence Day celebration. We hope everyone had a fun time with family and friends!
The Waco Animal Shelter will waive reclaim fees for pets in Waco city limits through July 13. We know pets can get loose, especially with Fourth of July festivities. We want to make sure everyone's furry best friend makes it home to their family.
If your pet is missing, visit lostpetswaco.com or visit the Animal Shelter in person at 2032 Circle Road to see if they have been picked up as a stray.

This time, our intrepid City of Waco flag went camping at Kerr Scout Ranch at Slippery Falls in Tishomingo, OK. Joining Troop 308g and Troop 497, it enjoyed the shade of some majestic oak trees and probably saw a few marshmallows fall into the fire. Where will it go next?
