 City of Waco offices will be closed on Friday, March 29. Residents with a Friday trash collection day will have their gray waste carts and green yard waste carts collected earlier on Wednesday, March 27.

In addition to the numerous women throughout the city organization providing vital city services to our residents, the positions of Deputy City Manager, Assistant City Manager and Chief of Staff are also held by women.

 Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: Lake Air & Challenger Little League Ballpark
 You're invited to join us at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 23 for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the newly completed Challenger and Lake Air Little League Ballpark. Check out the grounds and enjoy free ballpark treats, including hot dogs and caramel popcorn, while supplies last! The new complex, located at 2015 N. 44th St., is home to four baseball fields and two softball fields, plus two specialized inclusive fields.
 Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day
 Spring cleaning is here! This Saturday, March 23, City of Waco Solid Waste Services is hosting the annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Date from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Solid Waste Operations Center, 501 Schroeder Drive. The multi-city event is a FREE and easy way to dispose your household chemicals and dangerous waste. To pre-register and learn more about accepted materials, visit waco-texas.com/hhwd.
 Waco Transit System now has free Wi-Fi on all fixed-route buses for passengers to stay connected during their commute. To access the free Wi-Fi, passengers can use their phones to scan the QR code posted in the bus on the green sign.

 Bagby Avenue Construction Update
 The construction on Bagby Avenue from Valley Mills Drive to Kendrick Lane is coming along nicely! Major progress is being made on the first phase from Irving Lee Street to Valley Mills Drive next to H-E-B. The 15-month project will include new utilities, new sidewalks, and new drainage infrastructure, some of which were installed when Bagby Avenue was originally constructed in the early 1950s.

  Waco-McLennan County Library took a wild journey during spring break bringing storytime to exciting places around Waco through the Library on the Go program.
