  Waco is now rockin' new purple containers to recycle your glass bottles and jars. Ditch the trash can and embrace the purple revolution.
Recycle your clean glass bottles and food jars for free at one of the various purple containers in Waco! Glass will be taken to Prestige Shredding and Recycling, where it will be recycled — diverting it from our regional landfill.

 Celebrate Black History Month at Dewey Community Center
 The Mini Black History Museum is back at Dewey Community Center showcasing African Americans' great impact in our community and across the world. The exhibit will be on display through Feb. 29 at the community center located at 925 N. 9th St.
Museum Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.
- Friday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Saturday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 Spots are still available for spring break camp at Dewey, Doris Miller and South Waco Community Centers. Space is limited! Camps will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on March 4 through 8. The registration fee is $75 per child for kids ages 5 to 13.
Community Center staff will keep your kids engaged, active, and having a blast during their holiday break with exciting outdoor adventures, creative crafts, fun games and educational activities.

There is a higher demand than usual for puppy items at the Waco Animal Shelter, including puppy pads, formula, canned puppy food, and new or gently used toys. If you would like to make a donation, you drop off your items at any of the four Waco Library locations in the provided bins or at the Waco Animal Shelter, 2032 Circle Road.
