Starting this Friday, join us for a whole weekend of holiday fun in Downtown Waco during the Waco Wonderland celebration! The holiday cheer kicks off this Friday at 5 p.m. with holiday entertainment, visits with Santa, food trucks, live reindeer, a Ferris wheel, holiday train, and so much more!

Have You Spotted the Holiday Cheer Fire Engine?
The holidays are in full swing in Waco! The Waco Fire Department kicked off their annual Holiday Cheer Fire Engine last week. They will be rolling through a neighborhood near you through Friday, December 22.
Change this year: the engine will be stopping at designated locations for photos with the firefighters after their route.

Catch the Grinchmobile Around Town!
Solid Waste Services is bringing even more holiday spirit to Waco! The Grinchmobile is making their first appearance for the year at the Waco Wonderland parade on Saturday, December 2 with designated stops scheduled through Thursday, December 21.

Cameron Park Zoo Wild Lights Returns
The Cameron Park Zoo Wild Lights make their grand return for the 2023 holiday season. The Reliant Wild Lights brought to you by TFNB Your Bank For Life will take place Wednesdays through Sundays through December 31 from 6 to 9 p.m. Join us for an evening with thousands of lights, Santa Claus, food trucks, and refreshments. Don’t forget to bring your letters to Santa to drop off at the North Pole Express mailbox.

Got Unwanted Bulky Waste? Register for Your District Cleanup!
DISTRICT 4 — The next Solid Waste District Cleanup is scheduled on Saturday, December 9 for district 4. They will be collecting bulky waste and brush from your curbside starting at 7 a.m. Please have your items at your curb before then and separate your bulky waste from your brush. Make sure it's clear what you'd like to get picked up.

Public Meeting: Floyd Casey Park Development
Make plans to join us on Tuesday, December 12 for another community conversation and update on the Floyd Casey Park Development Project. The City of Waco aims to transform this area into a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive public landscape, and we want your input as we envision the future of the park.
The open house will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at South Waco Community Center, 2815 Speight Ave. Attendees will have the opportunity to weigh in on potential park options and elements based on feedback collected from the recent public survey and the initial public meeting. Earlier this month, Waco Police Chief Dr. Sheryl Victorian was recognized for her exemplary leadership with two awards — the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce's 2023 ATHENA Leadership Award and the Cen-Tex African American Chamber of Commerce's Public Servant of the Year Award!

The City of Waco Municipal Court will be closed all day Tuesday, November 28 and Wednesday, November 29 for a computer system migration. Deadlines that fall on those dates will be extended to Thursday, November 30. Residents may continue to use the facility drop box and mail correspondence.
