Celebrate the end of National Pollinator Week with us at Bee Day in the Garden on June 24 at the Tyler Rose Garden from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.!
The community is invited to come and learn about bees and other pollinators and their importance. Fun for the whole family, Bee Day in the Garden features fun activities for children, vendors, workshops and more.

The Tyler Parks and Recreation Department is thrilled to host the Summer Playground Program, Glass Summer Camp for kids 6 to 12 years old and the Counselors-in-Training program for youth ages 13 through 15 this summer. The programs will begin on Monday, June 12 through Friday, Aug. 4.
The Summer Playground Program will be from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and is FREE!

The Glass Summer Camp will be from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a cost of $200 per child. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.

Glass Recreation Center Counselor in Training (CIT) program offers a comprehensive training opportunity for area youth. Registration is $25.
Positions are limited and considered on a first come, first served basis. An application to the CIT program does not guarantee acceptance into the program.
Each CIT will receive a shirt, letter of recommendation and volunteer hours. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a free outdoor movie! Movies will be shown at Bergfeld Park, located at 1510 S. College Ave. In the event of severe weather, movies will be rescheduled to the next available Friday.

Those 55 and better can enjoy private senior swim time at Fun Forest Pool this summer every Friday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Water Safety Classes will be held biweekly on Thursdays starting June 15 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. inside Fun Forest Pool.
We are partnering with Texas Department of State Health Services to teach children about water safety in different environments, such as pools, waterparks, oceans, lakes and rivers. It also teaches youth about water hazards around the home and neighborhood and covers sun safety, boating safety and much more.
