Parks Admin Closed Dec. 23 and 26

Holiday Tea at Three Dec. 3

Holiday Tea at Three at the Goodman-LeGrand Museum on Dec. 3 from 3 to 5 p.m.! The historic home will be decorated for the season with festive savory and sweet delights created by local Chef Jack Lewis. Entertainment provided by George Faber.   Tickets are $40 per person. Victorian Open House Dec. 8

See the Goodman-LeGrand Museum all dressed up for the holidays! Join us on Dec. 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. to enjoy reenactors, music, refreshments, and for a fee, horse-drawn carriage rides ($10 per person for a 30 min. ride in a 12-passenger carriage).  For more information, please call (903) 531-1286.

Breakfast with Santa Dec. 10

Holiday Ball at the Senior Center Dec. 16

Get out your Sunday's Best because Tyler Senior Center is hosting a Holiday Ball on Dec. 16 at 6 p.m.! Save the date and tell a friend! Entry is $6 with music by the Smooth Cactus Band.  For more information about Tyler Senior Center, please visit TylerParksandRec.com or call (903)597-0781.

Christmas Tree Recycling Dec. 26 - Jan. 15

The City of Tyler Solid Waste Department and Keep Tyler Beautiful are providing two locations for Christmas tree recycling in Tyler. Residents can drop off their undecorated, non-flocked natural Christmas trees starting the day after Christmas through Sunday, Jan. 15, in designated areas at Golden Road Park and Fun Forest Park in Tyler.

Golden Road Park is located at the intersection of McDonald Road and Golden Road. Fun Forest Park is located in the 900 block of North Glenwood Boulevard.  All lights, ornaments, garland and tinsel should be removed from the Christmas tree before dropping it off near the sign that says, “Christmas Tree Drop Off.” The trees at the parks are available for area fisherman to pick up and sink in nearby lakes to create fish habitats. Golden Squirrel Scavenger Hunt Returns!

The Glass Recreation Center will be hosting a Youth Basketball League for boys and girls in grades Kinder through Second. 

Registration ends Jan. 9. League Play will be from Jan. 21 to March 4. Registration fee is $35 per person, includes a team shirt.
