The Rose Festival Arts and Crafts Fair will be held on Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Oct. 16 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Bergfeld Park, located at 1510 S. College Ave.

Project Daffodil Bulb Pickup Oct. 21

Pre-ordered daffodil bulbs will be available to pick up on Friday, Oct. 21 at the Rose Garden Center in the Azalea Room from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Oakwood Tour Oct. 29

Join us on Oct. 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. for a guided tour of the historic Oakwood Cemetery to hear tales of the past and learn about historical gravesites!

Keep Tyler Beautiful Honors Volunteer Jim Chewning

At Park Service Day, Keep Tyler Beautiful awarded long-time volunteer, 92 year old, Jim Chewning, with a “Difference Maker” Award for his years of service to Keep Tyler Beautiful and the City of Tyler.

Jim has attended almost every service event hosted by Keep Tyler Beautiful and Tyler Trees Committee since moving to Tyler 22 years ago. According to his daughter, he’s only ever missed for back surgery or when he was ill.

Park Improvements

The Tyler Parks and Recreations Department is hosting a public meeting regarding the P.T. Cole Park renovations on Oct. 3 at 5:30 p.m. at P.T. Cole Park, located at 1001 S. Vine Ave.

In case of inclement weather, please note the meeting will be moved to the Rose Garden Center, 420 Rose Park Dr.
