The Parks Admin offices will be closed Monday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. We will reopen on regular business hours on Tuesday, July 5.

The City of Tyler will host the annual Fourth of July fireworks celebration at Lindsey Park, located at 12557 Spur 364 W., on Monday, July 4. The fun kicks off as the gates open at 2 p.m. and the fireworks show will begin after dark (around 9 p.m.). The park gate, located off Spur 364, is the only entrance, and admission is free. Live entertainment will be provided, along with food trucks and vendors. |
Tyler Transit buses will also be available, running every 10 to 15 minutes to transport attendees to the park at no charge from the following locations: • Tyler Armed Forces Reserve Center, 13592 TX-31 • Tyler Junior College West Campus, 1530 S SW Loop 323 |

The Goodman-LeGrand Museum will host its third mystery dinner of the year on Saturday, July 16 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
The year is 1893 and everyone is celebrating when tragedy strikes! The Airship Pilot has fallen from the balcony! Or were they pushed? Join us to find out! The Tyler Area Business Education Council continues to seek donations and sponsorships from local businesses and organizations for their annual #SchoolisCool event. As of June, they have reached 44% of their $50,000 goal to provide 2,000 backpacks. Every $30 will purchase a backpack with school supplies for a kid in need.
Donations can be made online through Eventbrite or by check made payable to the Tyler Area Business Education Council and mailed to 315 N. Broadway Ave., Tyler, TX 75702.

Starting July 8, Fun Forest Pool will open for those 55 and better on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for Senior Swim.
Admission will be free. Seniors will be able to enjoy private pool time to socialize or get in some physical activity.

The Senior Center will hold two dances in July for those 55 and better:
July 8 (Fourth of July theme) featuring music by Country Drive Band July 22 featuring music by Mr. Bobby Jackson
Dances are from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission is $6.

This year's Park Service Day will take place on Sept. 17, with registration officially opening in August.
Beautification projects will occur at various parks throughout Tyler.

Project Daffodil Bulb Sale is around the corner! You will have the chance to purchase bags of daffodil bulbs as a fundraiser for the Keep Tyler Beautiful program. Each bag costs $20 and contains at least 50 bulbs.
