Mother's Day Tea May 7

There is still time to reserve your spot at Mother’s Day Tea! Join us for dainty treats and door prizes on Saturday, May 7 at the Goodman-LeGrand Museum from 3 to 5 p.m. Tickets are $40 per person (ages 14+). Preregistration and payment are required. Tyler Bees Committee

Keep Tyler Beautiful will host an interest meeting for individuals who want to be on the Tyler Bees Committee in May. The date is tentatively set for May 11. Contact KTyB@TylerTexas.com or call or call (903) 531-1335 for more information.

Free Summer Playground Program

Our FREE Summer Playground Program will be from June 13 through Aug. 5! Breakfast and lunch are provided daily. Kids will also enjoy trips to the local Fun Forest Pool. For more information or to print out a registration form, visit bit.ly/3KUZEGd or call Glass Recreation Center at (903) 595-7271.

Counselor in Training Program

Glass Recreation Center Counselor in Training (CIT) Program from June 13 through Aug. 5. CIT's will assist the Summer Playground leaders with daily planned activities, games, arts and crafts while developing leadership and life skills. Each CIT will receive a shirt, letter of recommendation and volunteer hours. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. The cost is $25 for kids ages 13 to 15. Save the Date: School is Cool Aug. 4

Save the date for #SchoolisCool hosted by the City of Tyler, Tyler Area Business Education Council, Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce and Tyler Area Partnership 4 Education!

The highly anticipated back-to-school event will take place Thursday, Aug. 4 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. (or until supplies last) at Fun Forest Park, located at 900 N. Glenwood Blvd. The goal is to distribute 2,000 backpacks with supplies to kids of all ages enrolled in schools from Pre-K to 12th grade.

This year’s event will take place as a drive-through. There will be no booths or other services offered at this time. A child or children must be present to pick up the supplies.

Tyler Area Business Education Council is currently accepting monetary donations and sponsors for this event. Every $30 donation purchases one backpack with supplies.

Donations can be made online on Eventbrite at bit.ly/SchoolisCoolDonations2022 or by mailing a check to 315 N. Broadway Ave. payable to the Tyler Area Business Education Council. Bergfeld courts opening soon!
