The first release of TSDS PEIMS has been successfully rolled out in June 2014 as a Limited Production Release (LPR). LPR adopters will submit parallel PEIMS data in the 2014/2015 school year through the new TSDS PEIMS system and the legacy EDIT+ system.
The data submitted through EDIT+ is the local education agencies' (LEA) official PEIMS submission; the data submitted through the TSDS PEIMS system will be a parallel test of the data to ensure that a TSDS PEIMS submission represents the data exactly as it is in the EDIT+ system.
Four LEAs are participating in the PEIMS LPR, with more joining in the fall.
TSDS Unique ID Project Wins 2014 Best of Texas Award
The Center for Digital Government’s Best of Texas Awards program recognizes government organizations for their contributions to information technology in Texas.
The TSDS Unique ID project won in the category of Best Application Serving the Public. This award is given to projects that improve the effectiveness of services delivered to the community, especially those projects that increase government transparency or improve the accessibility of services.
The application process is now open to join the 2014-2015 studentGPS® Dashboards Stage 1 deployment. Interested LEAs should contact their ESCs as soon as possible to apply.
Approximately 240 LEAs will be able to participate in Stage 1 for the Dashboards, and LEAs will be selected based on their responses to the Stage 1 application. Selected LEAs will be announced this fall.
