The purpose of the bulletin, "This Week in Performance Reporting," is to share relevant updates, upcoming tools and deadlines, and provide accessible methods for stakeholders to provide feedback to the Performance Reporting team. The Performance Reporting team will also provide answers to frequently asked questions received through the Performance Reporting help desk.

We encourage stakeholders to leverage this resource as a snapshot of all things Performance Reporting at TEA and to access embedded links for additional details and context.

New Updates from Performance Reporting

Final CCMR Student Listing Available in TEAL

The final College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Student Listing will be available today in the Texas Education Agency Login (TEAL) Accountability application. Districts are encouraged to review the listing to analyze student-level CCMR outcomes that will be used in the 2026 accountability rating system. The final listing will reflect the data to be incorporated into accountability calculations and provide districts with an opportunity to understand CCMR results ahead of the 2026 accountability ratings release. The CCMR Final Student Listing includes any approved submissions to the CCMR verifier as well as accepted PEIMS Working Submission CCMR indicator data used for 2026 accountability ratings. To learn more about the data sources and requirements, please see the 2026 CCMR Final Listing Explanation of Methodology and Sources document available on the 2026 Accountability Rating System webpage.

A-F Communications Resources

In advance of the 2026 accountability release, the following resources have been created to support districts in communicating the upcoming 2026 Accountability Ratings with key stakeholders.

• The A-F Sharing Template for District Leaders and A-F Sharing Template for School Leaders are PowerPoint presentation templates designed to help superintendents, district leaders, principals, and other school leaders explain how the A-F accountability system works and discuss local 2026 ratings with school boards, campus leaders and staff, families, and community members. Each template includes speaker notes and presentation guidance to help leaders get started preparing for ratings-related presentations and conversations. Early versions of these resources are being shared for you to explore and begin preparing. Final versions will include visuals and highlights of statewide accountability data. The templates are posted on the 2026 Accountability Rating System webpage and will be updated on August 14 with 2026 state-level results.
• The 2026 TXschools.gov Communications Toolkit webpage is also available to districts and campuses to provide families with the information they need to better understand their student’s school rating. The Toolkit consists of documents that districts and campuses can customize.
• The How Accountability Ratings Work webpage is also available to support understanding of the Accountability Ratings System. The visuals have been updated for the 2026 accountability year and are available in both English and Spanish.
• The Texas Performance Reporting System (TPRS) Video Tutorial is available to provide guidance for accessing and interpreting TPRS reports and data, and an Accountability Analytic Tools Video Tutorial will be available on August 7, which will feature Step-by-step instructions for using the Accountability Analytic Tools dashboards to explore accountability outcomes and trends.

Best Practices for PEIMS Extended Year Submission Webinar

This session highlighted key considerations, common pitfalls, and practical strategies to support accurate data submission and ensure student outcomes are fully reflected in accountability results. It’s that time of year again! Each quarter, we take a moment to ask our readers for feedback. It only takes a few minutes, and your insights will truly help us improve. We appreciate you taking a few moments to take the Performance Reporting Bulletin Feedback Survey, which will help us collect data. Thank you!

Removal of Accountability Reports and Student Listings in TEAL by August 11, 2026 

In order to facilitate the posting of new 2026 accountability reports, certain existing 2026 accountability reports and all 2025 accountability reports and student listings for all campuses and districts will be removed from the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application on August 11, 2026. The following files will be removed:

• 2026 Academic Accountability: 2026 Campus Pairing, 2025 Campus TELPAS Composite Scores, 2026 PEIMS Student Demographic Listing, and the 2026 Final Accelerated Testers Student Listing.
• 2025 Academic Accountability: The 2025 Accountability Appeals Form, as well as the 2025 accountability reports and data tables, 2025 accountability data downloads, and 2025 confidential student listings.
• The A-F Estimator tool will also be removed.

Once removed, the data contained in each report and student listing will be unavailable. Please ensure your district downloads and retains copies of these reports and data for your records.

Coming Soon: 2025–2026 Consolidated Accountability File

The 2025- 2026 Consolidated Accountability File (CAF) will be delivered through TIDE’s Secure Inbox on August 7, 2026. The CAF combines STAAR, STAAR Alternate 2, STAAR Spanish, and TELPAS data into a single student-level record across the current and prior accountability year. This year, the CAF will be shared with districts in .csv format, rather than a .txt format. Districts can review the CAF file format document to understand the updated fields and overall structure and confirm that local data systems capture all required elements, including the new Parental Permission field.  

2026 A-F Accountability Ratings Coming Soon

On August 12, 2026, Accountability Reports and Data Tables, 2026 Accountability Data Downloads, and STAAR, Growth, AEA Retest Growth, and EL Student Listings will be available in the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application. The results reflect the methodology in the final rule adopting the Accountability Rating System Manual for 2026 ratings. 

On August 14, 2026, 2026 Accountability Reports, Accountability Downloads, and Statewide Summary slides will be posted on the 2026 Accountability Rating System webpage. On August 14, 2026, TEA will also release the School Improvement (SI) federal identification list to the public on the 2026 Accountability System webpage. A TAA will be sent with next steps related to federal SI reporting.

College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Tracker Part II

The College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Tracker Part II and explanatory materials were released on July 23, 2026, and are available in the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application. The tool provides districts with a means to track CCMR indicator completion throughout high school for students reported as enrolled in grades 9–12 on the TSDS PEIMS Fall 2025 Snapshot. Students who will be included in 2026 accountability ratings, 2025 annual graduates and non-graduates, will not be included in the CCMR Tracker, Part II. Data updates for 2025 graduates and non-graduates for SAT, ACT, AP, IB and Level I/II Certificates were already communicated through the CCMR Verifier Listing on June 4, 2026.

The Final CCMR Listing for 2025 annual graduates and non-graduates will be available on July 31, 2026 and will include data updated through the CCMR Verifier and eligible PEIMS Working Submissions. The CCMR Tracker Contains Lagging Data. While the CCMR Tracker contains students who were in grades 9–12 on the 2025–26 PEIMS snapshot, the 2026 Tracker does not contain results from the 2025–26 school year, as those data have yet to be reported to TEA. Additionally, data corrected through Working Submissions in the 2025-26 school year are not reflected in the CCMR Tracker, Part II.

Stakeholders are encouraged to carefully review the Interpreting CCMR Tracker Methodology and Sources PART II resource which is posted on the 2026 Accountability Rating System webpage as data sources may vary slightly for students currently in grades 9-12, 2026 annual graduates, and those reported in grade 12 in 2025-26 who did not graduate. For additional information on CCMR indicators, please see Chapter 2 of the 2026 Accountability Rating System Manual. You may also refer to the to the administrator addressed correspondence on College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Tracker Part II.

How Accountability Ratings Work Webpage Updated

The How Accountability Ratings Work webpage has been updated to reflect the 2026 composite methodology for the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS) and TELPAS Alternate measures used in Closing the Gaps: English Language Proficiency. The updated resource provides stakeholders with clear, accessible information on how English learner progress is evaluated and incorporated into accountability ratings.

Many of the tools shared in recent bulletins were created and shared based on the feedback received from stakeholders across Texas. As we work to better serve our stakeholders, if you have suggested enhancements to existing products or processes or new tools that would better meet your needs, please share your ideas through our survey, Suggested Enhancements to Performance Reporting's Products and Processes. We appreciate your feedback as we prepare for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond.

Texas Assessment Program Updates

This communication is to inform you of the following upcoming activities for the Texas Assessment Program.

June 2026 STAAR ADMINISTRATION REPORTS FOR DATA VERIFICATION

This communication is to inform you of the availability of the June 2026 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) administration reports for data verification. Assessment results included in the administration reports for data verification are the same results included in the final administration reports for accountability unless changes are made during the data verification window.

DISTRICT REPORTS: Your district’s June 2026 STAAR administration reports for data verification are posted in the Secure File Center for the district testing coordinator. These administration reports include student report cards, student labels, district and campus summary reports, campus rosters, and reporting data files. Reports posted in the Secure File Center are available for 90 days. A separate extended constructed-response (ECR) comparison report showing the original and updated ECR scores for students whose responses were selected for automatic rescoring has also been delivered to the Secure File Center.

The June 2026 STAAR administration reports for data verification will be posted to the Family and Research portals by July 31, 2026. District coordinators should refer to the Family Portal page of the District and Campus Coordinator Resources for information on helping parents access the secure Family Portal.

DATA VERIFICATION: The data verification window for the June 2026 STAAR administration is July 29–August 4, 2026. District testing personnel must resolve any test discrepancies and correct student information during this window. Additionally, they may submit score code changes for this administration. Refer to the Data Verification topic on the Reporting Events page of the Coordinator Resources for more information on data verification.

Districts submitting rescore requests during the data verification window should carefully review submissions to ensure only those tests for which the district is requesting a rescore are selected for submission. Once rescore requests are submitted in the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE), they cannot be retracted. Rescore requests submitted during the data verification window should include purchase order numbers in the appeal comments.

Changes submitted during the data verification window will be reflected in the final administration reports for accountability provided on August 28. Any updates made after the data verification window will be included in scheduled updates but will not be reflected in final administration reports for accountability.

REGION REPORTS: Your region’s June 2026 STAAR administration reports for data verification are posted in the Secure File Center. The administration reports for data verification include reporting data files.

CALENDAR OF EVENTS

The 2026–2027 Calendar of Events is available in the District and Campus Coordinator Resources. Printed versions of the Calendar of Events will be shipped to districts in early September.

SPRING 2026 STAAR ADMINISTRATION

As a reminder, final administration reports for accountability for the spring 2026 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) administration, including updated student report cards and data files based on corrections made during the data verification window, will be posted to the Secure File Center on July 28, 2026, for grades 3–8 assessments. Item analysis reports reflecting final accountability data, including corrections made during the data verification window, will also be available. Final administration report data will be available in the Family and Research portals on July 31 for grades 3–8 assessments.

ANNUAL SYSTEM ROLLOVER

As a reminder, Texas Assessment Program systems will be offline from 8:00 p.m. (CT) August 14, 2026, through 11:59 p.m. (CT) August 23, 2026, to complete a system rollover. This includes the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE), the Centralized Reporting System (CRS), and the Test Delivery System (TDS). In preparation for the rollover, district testing personnel should note the following:

• Any needed Learning Management System (LMS) certifications must be downloaded before August 14.
• Any Texas Formative Assessment Resource (TFAR) tests administered in 2025–2026 that require hand scoring must be submitted prior to August 14 for scores to be reflected in CRS, as hand-scored items will no longer be available for scoring after the system rollover.
• The Secure File Center and LMS will be available for registered users through the Testing Personnel page of the Texas Assessment website.

MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS The minimum system requirements for the 2026–27 school year are available in the Technology Resources section of the Coordinator Resources. Districts should note that Google’s upcoming Googlebook device and its associated new operating system are not supported at this time. This information should be shared with district technology staff as appropriate.

Career and Military Readiness in CCMR Deep Dive Webinar Series

The CCMR Deep Dive webinars are posted on the TEA's CCMP webpage. This webinar series will provide overviews of career and military readiness indicators and outline early planning actions districts can take—such as course sequencing, student advising, partner coordination, and documentation practices—to strengthen future College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) outcomes.

These sessions are intentionally focused on implementation considerations, not just policy awareness. They are designed to help districts examine their current systems, identify gaps in access or alignment, and plan for incremental improvements across multiple years. The webinars are most effective when viewed as a team. We strongly encourage districts to convene a team to engage in this learning together to support local decision‑making. Participants should walk away not just with information, but with clearer next steps for your district’s CCMR strategy.

Local Accountability System

The Local Accountability System (LAS) empowers school districts and open-enrollment charter schools to design local accountability plans for their campuses. A school system adopting a Local Accountability Plan develops its own custom version of an A – F rating methodology for their campuses.

A Local Accountability System offers several benefits, including:

• Detailed Performance Insights: Provide parents, families, and communities with comprehensive information about local school performance and progress.
• Transparent Communication: Communicate local priorities and your commitment to achieving them.
• Public Reporting: Highlight the importance of your local goals by publicly releasing LAS plans and ratings.
• Community-Focused Measurements: Measure what matters most to your community and integrate these components into your LAS plan.
