Good morning, Performance Reporting bulletin members!  

The purpose of the bulletin, "This Week in Performance Reporting," is to share relevant updates, upcoming tools and deadlines, and provide accessible methods for stakeholders to provide feedback to the Performance Reporting team. The Performance Reporting team will also provide answers to frequently asked questions received through the Performance Reporting help desk.

We encourage stakeholders to leverage this resource as a snapshot of all things Performance Reporting at TEA and to access embedded links for additional details and context.

New Updates from Performance Reporting

Updated 2026 Enhanced Performance Levels Resources

The 2026 Performance Level (PL) resources have been updated to include the raw score and scale score ranges associated with each performance level indicator for 5^th and 8^th science STAAR and Biology EOC administrations.

• 2026 STAAR Raw Score Scale Score and Performance Level Cuts and Range
• 2026 STAAR EOC Raw Score Scale Score and Performance Level Cuts and Range

These resources provide specific cut points used to determine performance levels (e.g., Did Not Meet Low/High, Approaches Low/High, Meets, Masters, and corresponding STAAR Alternate 2 categories for Math and RLA), enabling consistent interpretation of student results and alignment with accountability calculations and HB1416 requirements.

How Accountability Ratings Work Webpage Updated

The How Accountability Ratings Work webpage has been updated to reflect the 2026 composite methodology for the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS) and TELPAS Alternate measures used in Closing the Gaps: English Language Proficiency. The updated resource provides stakeholders with clear, accessible information on how English learner progress is evaluated and incorporated into accountability ratings.

Important Reminder

Download CCMR Tracker Part I by July 22, 2026

Districts are encouraged to download and save any files or reports needed from the current College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Tracker Part I before the release of CCMR Tracker Part II. Upon the release of Part II on July 23, 2026, the existing Tracker Part I data will be cleared and replaced with updated information for students reported in grades 9-12 during the 2025-26 school year. The CCMR Tracker, Part II, will not include any information on 2025 annual graduates or non-grads. As such, districts should retain any Part I downloads needed for local records or analysis by July 22, 2026.

Removal of Accountability Reports and Student Listings in TEAL by August 11, 2026 

In order to facilitate the posting of new 2026 accountability reports, certain existing 2026 accountability reports and all 2025 accountability reports and student listings for all campuses and districts will be removed from the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application on August 11, 2026. The following files will be removed:

• 2026 Academic Accountability: 2026 Campus Pairing, 2025 Campus TELPAS Composite Scores, 2026 PEIMS Student Demographic Listing, and the 2026 Final Accelerated Testers Student Listing.
• 2025 Academic Accountability: The 2025 Accountability Appeals Form, as well as the 2025 accountability reports and data tables, 2025 accountability data downloads, and 2025 confidential student listings.
• The A-F Estimator tool will also be removed.

Once removed, the data contained in each report and student listing will be unavailable. Please ensure your district downloads and retains copies of these reports and data for your records.

This session will highlight key considerations, common pitfalls, and practical strategies to support accurate data submission and ensure student outcomes are fully reflected in accountability results. Attendees will gain clarity on how Extended Year submissions connect across reporting cycles and learn how to review and validate data effectively.

Coming Soon: College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Tracker Part II

The CCMR Tracker Part II will be released on July 23, 2026, through the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application. CCMR Tracker Part II will include SAT, ACT, AP, IB, and Level I/II certificate results updated through the 2024–25 school year, providing districts with the most current non-PEIMS CCMR indicators available for local planning and analysis. This release complements CCMR Tracker Part I, which includes PEIMS-submitted CCMR indicators, TSIA results, and OnRamps data through the 2024–25 school year.

The CCMR Tracker, Part I, also contained data for the 2025 annual graduates and non-graduates. Those students reported in grade 12 on the TSDS PEIMS Fall 2024 Snapshot Submission to better support schools and school systems in preparing for both the CCMR Verifier and PEIMS Working Submissions. Students who will be included in 2026 accountability ratings, 2025 annual graduates and non-graduates, will not be included in the CCMR Tracker, Part II. Data updates for 2025 graduates and non-graduates for SAT, ACT, AP, IB, and Level I/II Certificates were already communicated through the CCMR Verifier Listing on June 4, 2026. The Final CCMR Listing for 2025 annual graduates and non-graduates will be available in early August and will include data updated through the CCMR Verifier and eligible PEIMS Working Submissions.

Update School Profile in AskTED

Elements of the school profile information included on TXschools.gov, including the school address, phone number, principal name, and school website, are populated from the information supplied by districts within AskTED. Prior to July 31, 2026, districts should ensure that the address, phone number, and principal name are accurate for the 2025-26 school year in AskTED, as well as the validity of the school website linked.

• Review the information available on AskTED for each campus to ensure that the address, phone number, and principal name are accurate for the 2025-26 school year, as well as the validity of the school website linked.
• As needed, update the school profile information with AskTED. Instructions on how to make profile updates in AskTED are available in the online Help Content TED Administrator Questions.

Updates made after July 31, 2026 will not be reflected on TXschools.gov for the August 14, 2026 public ratings release, and the school profile page will not be updated again until after September 1, 2026. Updates made between June 1st and July 31st will not be reflected on TXschools.gov until August 14th. We appreciate your action now to ensure families and communities have access to accurate information regarding your campuses on August 14, 2026.

Many of the tools shared in recent bulletins were created and shared based on the feedback received from stakeholders across Texas. Texas Assessment Program Updates

This communication is to inform you of the following upcoming activities for the Texas Assessment Program.

2026 STAAR ALTERNATE 2 ADMINISTRATION

Final administration reports for accountability for the 2026 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) Alternate 2 administration, including updated student report cards and data files based on corrections made during the data verification window, will be posted to the Secure File Center on July 24, 2026. Item analysis reports reflecting final accountability data, including corrections made during the data verification window, will also be available. Final administration report data will be available in the Family and Research portals on July 29.

2026 STAAR ALTERNATE 2 AND SPRING 2026 STAAR SCIENCE PERFORMANCE LEVELS

The Centralized Reporting System (CRS) now includes performance levels and scale scores for the 2026 STAAR Alternate 2 elementary and middle school science assessments. This data will also be reflected in the STAAR grades 3–8 final administration reports for accountability. The reports will be distributed on July 24, and the data will be available in the Family and Research portals on July 29.

Performance levels and scale scores for the spring 2026 STAAR science administration will be available in CRS on July 15. This data will also be reflected in the STAAR grades 3–8 final administration reports for accountability. The reports will be distributed on July 28, and the data will be available in the Family and Research portals on July 31. Raw score conversion tables for STAAR elementary and middle school science will be available on the Raw Score Conversion Tables web page on July 15.

ANNUAL SYSTEM ROLLOVER

As a reminder, Texas Assessment Program systems will be offline from 8:00 p.m. (CT) August 14 through 11:59 p.m. (CT) August 23, 2026, to complete a system rollover. This includes the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE), CRS, and the Test Delivery System (TDS). District testing personnel should download any data files or Learning Management System (LMS) certifications needed before August 14. The Secure File Center and LMS will be available for registered users through the Testing Personnel page of the Texas Assessment website.

Communications from Across the Agency

Critical performance reporting updates are shared through To The Administrator Addressed Correspondence (TAA)  which are important messages of interest to school districts, charter schools, and regional education service centers. If you do not currently receive the weekly TAA email, you can Sign up to receive email notification when new letters are posted. 

CTE Program Enrollment

School systems should ensure that students and families are provided with clear, timely, and accessible information regarding all enrollment criteria, including CTE program-specific requirements. For CTE programs that include prerequisite conditions, eligibility standards, participation requirements, or requirements for industry-based certifications (IBCs) set by certifying entities, school systems must communicate these expectations in advance of course selection and enrollment.

Any necessary and appropriate information should be incorporated into recruitment materials, advising processes, and program materials to support informed decision-making. School systems are encouraged to present requirements in student- and family-friendly formats and in languages that reflect the communities they serve, ensuring all participants understand any conditions necessary for entry and successful participation. For specific requirements, contact the certifying entity or licensing agency for the aligned IBC(s).

CTE Indicator Reports Available in PEIMS

The issue affecting reports PDM3-404-002 - Career and Technical Education Student Roster and PDM3-404-003 - Student Counts by Career and Technical Indicator Code and Grade has been resolved. Please rerun the reports to ensure you are viewing the updated results.

The reports include indicators for Not-CTE, Participant, Concentrator, and Completer statuses. Explorers are now included with Participants; students who were coded as Concentrators or Completers in a regional program of study and transferred to a non-approved region retained their previous indicator status of “Concentrator” or Completer.”

Career and Military Readiness in CCMR Deep Dive Webinar Series

The CCMR Deep Dive webinars will be posted on the TEA's CCMP webpage on July 30, 2026. This webinar series will provide overviews of career and military readiness indicators and outline early planning actions districts can take—such as course sequencing, student advising, partner coordination, and documentation practices—to strengthen future College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) outcomes.

These sessions are intentionally focused on implementation considerations, not just policy awareness. They are designed to help districts examine their current systems, identify gaps in access or alignment, and plan for incremental improvements across multiple years. The webinars are most effective when viewed as a team. We strongly encourage districts to convene a team to engage in this learning together to support local decision‑making. Participants should walk away not just with information, but with clearer next steps for your district’s CCMR strategy.

Local Accountability System

The Local Accountability System (LAS) empowers school districts and open-enrollment charter schools to design local accountability plans for their campuses. A school system adopting a Local Accountability Plan develops its own custom version of an A – F rating methodology for their campuses.

A Local Accountability System offers several benefits, including:

• Detailed Performance Insights: Provide parents, families, and communities with comprehensive information about local school performance and progress.
• Transparent Communication: Communicate local priorities and your commitment to achieving them.
• Public Reporting: Highlight the importance of your local goals by publicly releasing LAS plans and ratings.
• Community-Focused Measurements: Measure what matters most to your community and integrate these components into your LAS plan.
