The Educator Data, Research and Strategy Division at the Texas Education Agency has updated the Newly Certified and New Teacher Hires Dashboards to include 2025-2026 academic year data. These dashboards provide an improved understanding of the routes to being hired as a teacher for newly hired educators, as well as the relationship between teacher preparation, certification pathways, and new teacher hires in Texas public schools. 

The Newly Certified and New Teacher Hires regional dashboard view presents multiple views to explore educator supply patterns across the state, including: 

• A statewide and regional summary view of newly certified teachers and new teacher hires for the selected academic year. 

• A certification route breakdown for newly certified teachers, including intern certificates, standard undergraduate routes, standard alternative certificates, one‑year out‑of‑state certificates, and post‑baccalaureate certificates. 

• A hiring pathway breakdown for new teacher hires, including re‑entering teachers, teachers without Texas certification or permit, alternative certification entrants, and other pathways. 

• A longitudinal view showing newly certified teachers and new teacher hires across multiple academic years. 

• A regional map view aligned to Texas Education Service Center (ESC) regions, allowing users to explore variation across regions.
