Proposed New 19 TAC Chapter 103, Health and Safety, Subchapter CC, Commissioner's Rules Concerning Safe Schools, §103.1217, Safety During Extracurricular Activities
Summary: The proposed new section would establish safety protocols for extracurricular activities to implement Texas Education Code, §37.108(f)(8), as amended by House Bill 121, 89th Texas Legislature, Regular Session, 2025.
Publication in the Texas Register: April 17, 2026

Proposed Effective Date: August 9, 2026

Summary: As required by Texas Government Code, §2001.039, TEA will accept comments as to whether the reasons for adopting 19 TAC Chapter 62 continues to exist.
