PEIMS Working Submissions Guidance for CCMR
The passing of House Bill (HB) 8 (89th Second Special Session) introduced several shifts to Texas’ A–F Accountability processes, including new rules governing the submission of prior-year College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) data. In response to HB 8, the Working Submission has been formalized as an available accountability data source for CCMR. Beginning with 2026 A-F Accountability, schools and school systems may now submit TSDS PEIMS Working Submissions to correct specific CCMR data errors for use in A-F accountability calculations, provided the submission is confirmed by the Information Technology/Data Standards, Data Quality, and Business Analysis Division before the close of the CCMR Verifier window.
Districts may submit PEIMS Working Submissions for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 school years. Data submissions with errors from the 2025 PEIMS Fall Submission may also be corrected through a Working Submission. Only Working Submissions with validated corrections related to CCMR indicators will be considered for accountability ratings. Updates to the 2026 Accountability System Manual Appendices
A few updates have been made to the appendices, ensuring accurate and clear reflection of accountability rules.
- In , Adult Education High School Charter Program and Campus Number Tracking are now both defined in the Accountability Glossary.
- In , language was added specific to students who previously participated in an Education Savings Account (ESA) as an additional exclusion.
- In , language was added to specify that the results of a Working Submission for CCMR data may be used in accountability calculations, along with data exclusions for former ESA participants.
- In , language was added to provide additional clarity to data sources used in RDA
Accountability Tools Webinar
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Accountability Tools Webinar! We appreciate your time and engagement as we explored TEA‑developed accountability tools designed to support districts and campuses. During the session, participants received a guided walkthrough of key tools and trackers, learned about their purpose, and saw how they can be used throughout the year to analyze data, set goals, monitor progress, and support continuous improvement. Student Demographic Listing and Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) Training
Join us for an upcoming webinar on March 26th, 2026, at 9:30 am focused on a new Student Demographic Listing and the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE), designed to support districts and campuses in ensuring accurate data for accountability and assessment. During this session, we’ll walk through how to interpret the Student Demographic Listing, explain how demographic information flows from PEIMS into TIDE, how to verify or change the information in TIDE and discuss why TIDE is a critical source for accountability calculations. We’ll also highlight common data issues across both systems that can impact accountability outcomes. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how to use these tools together to review, validate, and align student demographic data ahead of key reporting and assessment milestones. Final 2026 Accelerated Testers Student Listings released in TEAL
The Final 2026 Accelerated Testers Student Listings will be available in the Texas Education Agency Login (TEAL) Accountability application on March 5, 2026. This year, there will be two listings available to stakeholders; a listing specific to students in grades 12, and a new listing for students in grades 9-11. These listings identify students who earned Approaches Grade Level or above on the Algebra I, English II, and/or Biology STAAR EOC assessments prior to grade 9 and are used to support federal testing requirements for accountability purposes. The final listings reflect each accelerated student’s applicable subject area(s) and indicate whether a corresponding SAT or ACT result is on record as of May 2025 (2024–25, 2023– 24, and 2022–23 school years).
2026 Campus 3-12 Enrollment (In Membership) List
The 2026 Campus 3-12 Enrollment (In Membership) List will be available on the 2026 Accountability Rating System webpage on March 3, 2026. This list reflects campus-level membership counts for students in grades 3-12 and economic disadvantaged rates. This list reflects data from the Fall PEIMS Submission and is used in accountability calculations, including district proportional weighting. Districts and campuses are encouraged to review the list once posted and retain a local copy for reference.
Alternative Education Accountability Registration
The AEA registration process will open in the Texas Education Agency Login (TEAL) Accountability application on March 5, 2026. In order for a campus to be identified for AEA in 2026, all of the following criteria must be met:
- Meet either the current-year or prior-year TSDS PEIMS 75 percent at-risk criterion
- Have at least 90 percent of students enrolled in grades 6–12, as verified through 2025-26 PEIMS fall enrollment data
- Be identified as offering alternative instruction in AskTED
- Provide education services targeted to dropout prevention and recovery of students with enrollment consisting of at least 60 percent of the students 16 years of age or older as of September 1, 2025
Campuses that meet the criteria have been preregistered as dropout recovery schools (DRS). No action is required if a campus within your district is on the preregistered list as a DRS and you wish to keep it registered for AEA. Districts may choose to remove a campus from the preregistered list by submitting an AEA rescission form via TEAL Accountability. Alternative campuses that meet all AEA criteria, with the exception of the 60 percent at age 16 criterion, must submit a DRS application during the AEA registration window in order to be identified.
Student Demographic Listing
A new student listing will be shared in the Texas Education Agency Login (TEAL) Accountability application on March 5, 2026. This new student listing, created based on feedback from our stakeholders, contains all students and their demographic information, as reported in the 2025 Fall PEIMS Submission. The purpose of this listing is to support schools and school systems in clarifying who is in their accountability subset, and to ensure consistency across PEIMS and TIDE. Performance Reporting Help Desk
Beginning March 6, 2026, Performance Reporting will transition to a new ticketing system for all support requests and questions. This change is designed to streamline communication, ensure faster response times, and improve tracking and resolution of inquiries. Stakeholders who may have previously sent questions to Performance Reporting via email will now submit inquiries via the TEA Help Desk, enabling our team to provide more efficient, consistent support. Additional details and instructions for accessing the ticketing platform will be shared as we approach the launch date.
2025 Student Assessment Data Validation Reports
Student Assessment Data Validation reports for the 2025 cycle are now available in the Texas Education Agency Login (TEAL) Accountability application. These reports support LEAs in reviewing potential anomalies in student assessment data and provide important insight into indicators outlined in the 2025 Student Assessment Data Validation Manual. Districts will be able to log in to TEAL to access their reports and begin local review processes.
Removal of Accountability Reports and Student Listings in TEAL
In order to facilitate the posting of 2026 accountability reports, all 2024 accountability reports and student listings for all campuses and districts will be removed from the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application on March 6, 2026. The accountability reports consist of accountability summaries, calculations, and data tables for each domain. Accountability student listings include data that was used to calculate the STAAR performance, College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR), and English Language Proficiency components for accountability.
Additionally, the 2025 Accountability Appeals Form, 2025 Final Accelerated Testers Student Listing, and 2025 CCMR tracker Part II will also be removed from TEAL on March 6, 2025. The 2025 reports, accountability reports, accountability downloads, and student listings will be removed prior to the release of 2026 accountability ratings. Once removed, the data contained in each report and student listing will be unavailable. Please ensure your district downloads and retains copies of these reports and data for your records.

An updated version of the Performance Reporting Calendar of Events is now available! Performance Reporting events scheduled for March have been finalized, and iCal files are now available for those events and are posted on the Performance Reporting Resources webpage.
This resource includes important milestones such as manual releases, rating timelines, appeals windows, and reporting submissions—all in one convenient place. The calendar is available in multiple formats: spreadsheet, PDF, and .ics, which can be embedded in your personal calendar.
