EPP Interactive Map
The Educator Data, Research and Strategy Division at the Texas Education Agency has launched the EPP Interactive Map. This newly published tool highlights all approved and active educator preparation programs (EPPs) in Texas and presents multiple views to explore program offerings and teacher pipeline patterns across the state, including:
- The EPP Map Explorer provides a searchable view of active EPPs by city, region, certificates, and program routes.
- The Teacher Preparation and Employment view illustrates where teachers were prepared and subsequently employed within Texas school systems.
- The EPP Overview presents essential information for each active EPP, including program characteristics and the school systems where their teachers are most commonly employed.
Example: The following view illustrates where teachers in Texas were prepared and where they were subsequently employed.

-
As measured by this dashboard, the Teacher Preparation and Employment view shows:
-
122 active educator preparation programs (EPPs)
-
1,061 school systems employing teachers newly prepared by these EPPs
-
34,364 newly prepared teachers represented in the dataset
- The dashboard displays the geographic distribution of EPPs and employing school systems, along with a table summarizing teacher counts and their corresponding preparation programs.
