Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR)
Updated annually, the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR) serve as a one-stop resource for information on the performance of students in each campus and school system in Texas. The TAPR for school systems and campuses in the Texas Education Agency Login (TEAL) Accountability application, including a TAPR Glossary and TAPR Guidelines. The TAPR has also been publicly released in PDF format on the TAPR webpage. Public reports are available by campus, district, ESC region, and state-wide.
The TAPR data download site has a fresh look and several user-driven upgrades! Based on your feedback, we’ve made it easier and faster to access Texas school and district performance data. Here’s what’s new:

Streamlined Selection Process: Choose your data step-by-step with intuitive dropdown menus—all on a single page.

Improved Campus Selection: Campuses are now organized in two columns, and you can select all campuses in a district with just one click.

Faster Downloads: Download options are now limited to .csv and .txt formats for quicker access. (Excel option removed, but CSV still opens in Excel!)

Integrated Data Dictionary: Variable names and descriptions now appear directly in the top row of your report—no need to reference a separate document.

Interactive Data Dictionary: Still available and now visually matches your report, with hover-over definitions for each variable.

Flexible Reporting: Select numerators, denominators, rates, or any combination for your custom report.

School Report Cards for 2024 and 2025
School Report Cards inform families about a campus’ individual characteristics and its academic performance, including outcomes for the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) and academic growth. The 2024 ratings release was delayed due to legal proceedings that previously prevented their release; therefore, both the 2024 and 2025 SRCs are now available on the School Report Cards website.
On the SRC, student attendance, enrollment, and class size information and financial indicators are provided alongside the campus’s Overall Academic Accountability Rating, a rating for each accountability domain, and the Distinction Designations earned by the campus from both the 2024 and 2025 accountability rating years. All campuses with SRCs are required by law to distribute the SRC to parents and guardians. 2025 Discipline Data Validation Reports
The accountability and performance data reporting systems at the Texas Education Agency (TEA) rely on data submitted by local education agencies (LEAs). To ensure data integrity, annual data validation analyses and reviews are conducted to examine LEA’s discipline data. The 2025 DDV reports were posted to the Texas Education Agency Login (TEAL) Accountability application on December 18, 2025.
This year, two indicators were added, and two former indicators were removed. Indicator descriptions have been revised in the 2025 Discipline Data Validation Manual and reflect legislative updates that will affect next year’s Discipline Data Validation system.

Final 2024 and 2025 Accountability Ratings
Following the release of preliminary ratings, school districts and open-enrollment charter schools had the opportunity to appeal their accountability ratings as required by the Texas Education Code, §39.151. Each submitted appeal was carefully considered, alongside information provided by staff and the recommendations of an independent appeals panel made to the commissioner. The commissioner makes the final decision on all appeals. Commissioner decisions have been shared with impacted school systems, and the final 2024 and 2025 A–F Academic Accountability Ratings are now publicly available.
The 2024 and 2025 A–F final domain and overall ratings and scaled scores have been updated on TXschools.gov, on the Accountability Reports and on the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application. The accountability lists, summary reports, highlights, and Accountability Data Downloads available on the 2024 Accountability Rating System and 2025 Accountability Rating System webpages are all also updated to reflect final ratings. The 2025 A-F Summary Deck has also been updated to reflect final ratings and insights on 2025 A–statewide results.

Federal Report Cards for 2025
The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), requires each state education agency to prepare and publish an annual report card with state-level, local education agency (LEA)-level and campus-level data. The Federal Report Card for Texas Public Schools is a web-based system that generates the required federal report cards at the state, district and campus levels for easy dissemination by school districts. Every LEA that receives Title I, Part A funding is responsible for distributing the state-, LEA-, and campus-level reports to each of its campuses, the parents of all enrolled students, and the general public within 90 days of receiving notice that the Federal Report Cards for 2024-2025 are now available.
Dissemination Requirements
At a minimum, the LEA must—
- Post direct links to the State, LEA and campus report cards on its website;
- Notify parents of all students about the availability of the report cards and the options for obtaining them;
- Provide appropriate translation (either oral or written) upon request;
- Make hard copies available to parents upon request; and
- Make hard copies available for viewing in public locations.
Additionally, the expectation is that each LEA shall have the federal report cards posted on its website for a minimum of 3 years.

Public Education Grant
With the release of the 2025 A–F final ratings, the list of campuses identified under the PEG program is also final. Campuses that received a final overall scaled score of less than 60 are listed on the Final 2026–27 PEG List, available on the Public Education Grant webpage. Districts must notify families of students assigned to a campus included on the Final 2026-27 PEG list by February 1, 2026. With the release of the 2024 A-F final ratings, a final PEG list reflecting 2024 final results has also been released. The 2024 ratings release was delayed due to legal proceedings that previously prevented their release; therefore, no action is required if a campus is included in this 2024 PEG list.

Preliminary Accountability System Manual for 2027
The proposed A–F Accountability System Manual for 2027 ratings has been published on the 2027 Accountability Manual webpage. The proposed rule will be published in the Texas Register on December 12, 2025, followed by a 30-day period to gather public comments. Details on the public comment period and how to submit comments can be found on the Proposed Commissioner of Education Rules webpage. Additional explanatory materials and resources, including Proposed 2027 Manual Updates documentation, are available on the 2027 Accountability Rating System webpage. 2025 RDA State and Region Reports
2025 RDA State and Region Reports Now Available
Performance Reporting is pleased to announce that the 2025 Results Driven Accountability (RDA) State and Region Reports are now posted and ready for review. These reports provide performance data for school districts and charter schools across selected program areas, including:
- Bilingual Education/English as a Second Language/Emergent Bilingual
- Other Special Populations (students in Foster Care, students who are Homeless, students who are Military Connected)
- Special Education
Data is reported at the district, region, and state levels and is available as downloadable data files for your convenience. Visit the Results Driven Accountability Data and Reports webpage to access the reports.
