October Stakeholder Engagement Sessions: Reading Language Arts and ELPS Frequently Asked Questions

Topic: Reading Language Arts and ELPS Frequently Asked Questions 

Target Audience: Reading Language Arts Stakeholders: Teachers, District Administrators, Campus Administrators, Education Service Center Specialists, Parents, Professional Organizations  

Session Description: The TEA reading language arts team in the Curriculum Standards and Student Support Division will be providing answers to some of the most frequently asked questions received during the school year.  Additionally, there will be an opportunity for questions and discussion on topics related to reading language arts curriculum standards and requirements. 

Dates, Times, and Registration Links: 

Tuesday, October 21 @ 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. (CT) October 21 Registration Link 

Wednesday, October 22 @ 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. (CT) October 22 Registration Link  

Each session will contain the same content. Multiple sessions are provided to allow stakeholders multiple opportunities to attend. 


Reading Language Arts Assessment Specialist Open Position

Join the TEA Assessment Development Division and shape the future of reading language arts education in Texas. As the Reading Language Arts Assessment Specialist, you’ll lead the design and development of reading language arts content for all components of the Texas Assessment Program, including STAAR and STAAR Alternate 2. Your work will directly impact student learning statewide by ensuring assessments are rigorous, standards-aligned, and thoughtfully crafted.
