2026 A-F Estimator is now available
The A-F Estimator is now available in the (TEAL) Accountability application. TEAL users are now able to access the A-F estimator in the “New Items” tab or by looking in the Performance Reporting tab under “2026 Accountability” within TEAL.
This A-F Estimator tool enables the calculation and estimation of a district or campus's performance in each domain and overall ratings. The estimator will prepopulate domain and component values using 2025 results and users are able to enter new component values to estimate the corresponding domain and overall results for 2026 accountability. The accuracy and validity of the estimation depend solely on the data input by the user.
For districts that have at least one campus rated under AEA criteria, an AEA specific A-F Estimator is also available in TEAL. Please be sure to leverage this tool for AEA estimations, which reflects scoring methodologies unique to Alternative Education Accountability.
2026 Data Resource now available: 2 Lowest Performing Race/Ethnic Groups
Stakeholders now have additional data with which to plan for the 2025-26 school year. On the 2025 Data Downloads, in the Closing the Gaps Domain Rating and Scores, users will see the campus’ 2 lowest performing Race/Ethnic groups used in Domain 3 calculations for both 2025 and 2026 ratings. This additional data tool can be used to inform planning for the groups that will be evaluated in Closing the Gaps for 2026 and is based on 2025 results. This information will also be available on the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application.

In the example shown above, the TEAL report, the groups evaluated for 2025 accountability are in bold and were 1) All students 2) African American 3) Hispanic, and 4) High Focus. Based on this school’s 2 lowest performing groups in 2025, the groups evaluated in 2026 will be 1) All students 2) African American 3) Two or More Races, and 4) High Focus.

FAQs
What are the new course codes for College Preparatory Courses?
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has issued a set of unique course codes for College Preparatory Courses (CPC), derived from submissions received through the College Preparatory Courses for College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) application process. School districts are expected to implement these course codes beginning with the 2025–2026 academic year. The adoption of these standardized codes will enhance the Agency’s ability to accurately identify CPC partnerships statewide and to monitor student participation with individual providers.
How does this affect CCMR accountability?
For the class of 2026, school systems can use any course meeting requirements outlined by the district and the IHE(s), so long as the student is enrolled in the course as a 12th grader. Beginning with the class of 2027, only College Prep courses approved by TEA will be allowable for CCMR indicator credit.
Where can I find the list of approved College Prep course providers?
The list is available on TEA’s College Preparatory Courses for CCMR Accountability webpage and will be updated each fall. A course provider application is currently open.
