Greetings!

Welcome to October, Strong Foundations Implementation Leaders!

We’re kicking off the month with an important update: the SFI Beginning-of-Year Surveys have officially launched! These surveys are due by October 24, so please be sure to send reminders to your teachers, coaches, and leaders to ensure everyone completes them on time.

We understand that some Part C awardees may still be working through early grant milestones. To support you, we’ve compiled key points in this newsletter for easy reference. If you’ve already completed certain action steps, feel free to skip those items.

Milestones

As a reminder, here are the milestones for the grant so far: 

  1. Complete a contract with an Approved Provider, and upload your contract to your Google Folder.
  2. Submit an initial roster on the LEA Registration and Rostering Form
    1. NOTE: Please only use the rostering form to submit folks you need to ADD to your district’s roster. Need to make other changes to the roster? 
      • To add or change a district participant on the roster: In order to add a district participant or change any of their identifying information (role, campus, email etc.), you can enter the email of the participant you wish to add in the LEA Registration and Rostering System. If you are adding a new participant, it won’t recognize their email on the first input. Continue on, and you will have an opportunity to add their identifying information (name, email, role, etc.)
      • To add large batch of district participants: If you need to add a large batch of district participants, you can send us an email with the list of folks you need to add.
      • To remove district participants: If you need to REMOVE district participants, please send us an email and we will get them removed.

  3. Set up an initial meeting with your Approved Provider team to develop a scope of work. After this meeting, submit your Self-Assessment (your IA will provide you with the link!)

  4. Work with your Approved Provider team on your Implementation Plan.

  5. Support your team in getting Beginning-of-Year (BOY) SFI Surveys completed (see more information about BOY surveys in the next section).

 Reminders and Next Steps

  • NEW: Surveys for teachers, leaders, and coaches launched on September 29 and are due by October 24, 2025. A direct survey link has been sent to all rostered participants. If anyone on your team did not receive a link, please share the appropriate Beginning-of-Year (BOY) survey link based on their role.

  • Reminder: Resources and Guidance on the Bluebonnet Learning Portal: The Bluebonnet Learning team is making regular updates to the Resources and Guidance section on the portal. Go to this section to find information about assessments, editable lesson slides, math content support videos, and more!
