2026-2027 TSDS PEIMS Submission Timeline Changes
The Texas Education Agency is updating the timeline and process for the Texas Student Data System (TSDS) Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) submissions for the 2026-2027 school year to meet federal reporting requirements. These changes introduce a new PEIMS Fall Enrollment Submission and adjust existing PEIMS Fall Submission criteria, requiring school systems to adapt their internal schedules accordingly. This does not impact any data reporting for the 2025-2026 school year. Beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, a new PEIMS Fall Enrollment Submission will be added to collect:
-
All students enrolled on the first Friday in October with their Special Education program determination, if applicable, and
-
Students in grades 7-12 enrolled at any point during the school start window (first day of school through the last Friday in September).
The snapshot date for the PEIMS Fall Enrollment Submission will be the first Friday in October, and the submission will be due in mid-October. There will be no resubmission for the new PEIMS Fall Enrollment Submission.
Additionally, the existing PEIMS Fall Submission will be updated to include:
- ONLY students enrolled on the last Friday in October,
- School system budget, and
- Staff employed on the last Friday in October.

2026 A-F Estimator Coming Soon
The 2026 A–F Estimator will be available soon. This tool enables the calculation and estimation of a district or campus's performance in each domain and overall. The estimator will prepopulate domain and component values using 2025 results. Users will be able to enter new component values to estimate the corresponding domain and overall results. The accuracy and validity of the estimation depend solely on the data input by the user. Please note that the tool does not include AEA bonus points or Local Accountability, which may affect the overall rating.
2026 Data Resource: 2 Lowest Performing Race/Ethnic Groups Coming Soon
In the coming weeks, stakeholders will have additional data with which to plan for the 2025-26 school year. On the 2025 Data Downloads, on the Closing the Gaps Domain Rating and Scores, users will see the campus’s 2 lowest performing Race/Ethnic groups from 2025 clearly named at the top of the download. As these will be the 2 groups evaluated in 2026 for A-F Accountability, users are encouraged to leverage these resources for their strategic planning. This new information will also be available on the TEA Login (TEAL) application on Domain 3 reports.
Texas Performance Reporting System Release
The Texas Performance Reporting System (TPRS) is now updated.
TPRS integrates state and federal reporting requirements into a single reporting system that can be viewed at the campus, district, region, and state levels. As the most comprehensive reporting system published by TEA, TPRS provides additional performance reports, results, and indicators for student groups not reported on state accountability data tables, the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR), or the School Report Card.
Reports released include STAAR, CCMR, Accountability Summaries, Graduation, and Advanced Math Pathways data. An additional TPRS release will follow in November to include student and staff information, postsecondary outcomes details, kindergarten readiness, and PreK effectiveness.
2025 Results Driven Accountability (RDA) Reports Review Window
RDA is a data-driven monitoring framework consisting of indicators in three program areas: bilingual education/English as a second language/emergent bilingual (BE/ESL/EB), special education (SPED), and other special populations (OSP).
The confidential, unmasked data related to the RDA is on the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application. School systems have 10 business days to review these reports and contact Performance Reporting via email at Performance.Reporting@tea.texas.gov with any questions or concerns about the confidential data. Once the 10-business-day review period ends on October 2, 2025, the final public RDA reports will be processed in November. Final RDA reports will include the FREs and the DLs for the three RDA program areas—Bilingual Education/English as a Second Language/Emergent Bilingual (EB/ESL/EB), Other Special Populations (OSP), and Special Education (SPED).
