2025-2026 ESSA Program Monitoring Validation Process
The Federal Program Compliance Division will implement its process for conducting programmatic monitoring of the following federal programs authorized under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
- Title I, Part A - Improving Basic Programs
- Title I, Part C - Education of Migratory Children
- Title I, Part D, Subpart 2 - Prevention and Intervention Programs for Children and Youth Who Are Neglected, Delinquent, or At-Risk
- Title II, Part A - Supporting Effective Instruction
- Title IV, Part A - Student Support and Academic Enrichment
- ESSA Private Nonprofit School Equitable Services (PNP)
In preparation for the 2025-2026 Program Monitoring Validation process, the Federal Program Compliance Division (FPC) will conduct a statewide virtual training to provide information related to the programmatic consolidated monitoring process the Division will implement in 2025-2026 for School Systems. Participants will learn about the parameters for School System selection, the programs included in the monitoring process, the requirements selected for documentation review, and process timelines. Additionally, resources will be shared, and time will be allotted for questions. Captions auto-generated by the Zoom platform will be made available during the virtual training. There is no cost to attend the training. The training will be recorded. A link to access the recording will be posted to the TEA ESSA Program Monitoring Validations webpage after the training. The training slides that will be utilized during the training are already posted.
