Dear PDSES parents/guardians and interested stakeholders*,
We hope this message finds you well. You are receiving this message because you signed up to receive updates about the Parent-Directed Special Education Services (PDSES) program. PDSES is a one-time $1,500 online grant for parents/guardians of eligible students served by special education who are enrolled in a Texas public school. This email serves as the first in a series of updates that you will receive leading up to the 2025-2026 school year application window.
The 2025-2026 school year’s application window will open on April 1, 2026, at 8:00 am CST, and will close on April 30, 2026, at 5:00 pm CST.
The eligibility criteria have not changed. To be eligible for the PDSES grant, a student must:
- Be currently enrolled in a Texas public school (grades Pre-K through 12th);
- Receive special education services through an individualized education program (IEP); and
- Have not received a PDSES grant in the past. (PDSES is a one-time-only grant.)
