2025 TXschools.gov Communcations Toolkit Now Available
The TXschools.gov Communications Toolkit for 2025 ratings is now available. The TXschools.gov Toolkit was created to help districts and campuses provide families the information they need to better understand their child’s school rating.
The Toolkit consists of working documents, including FAQs, social media templates, one-pagers, and email content, that districts and campuses can customize. We hope these tools are beneficial as you build your communication plans and messaging.
Consolidated Accountability File Now Available
The Consolidated Accountability File (CAF) was posted on August 8, 2025 to the Secure File Center. The CAF combines all State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®), STAAR Spanish, STAAR Alternate 2, Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS), and TELPAS Alternate data within the current accountability year into one record for a student. The record also includes data for the student for any state assessments within the previous accountability year. Records for which a student cannot be assigned a Texas Student Data System (TSDS) ID are not combined with data from another reporting administration. Conflicting data for a grade 3–8 subject, end-of-course (EOC), TELPAS, or TELPAS Alternate assessment within a reporting administration are not combined with other testing data for a student.
2025 A-F Accountability Ratings Coming Soon
On August 13, 2025, Accountability Reports and Data Tables, 2025 Accountability Data Downloads, and STAAR, Growth, AEA Retest Growth, and EL Student Listings will be available in the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application. The CCMR Student Listings were posted in the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application on August 1st. The results reflect the methodology in the final rule adopting the Accountability Rating System Manual for 2025 ratings.
On August 15, 2025, both 2024 and 2025 Accountability Reports, Accountability Downloads, and Statewide Summary slides will be posted on their respective 2024 Accountability Rating System and 2025 Accountability Rating System webpages. A new resource, a template for communicating accountability ratings with School Boards, will also be available on the 2025 Accountability Rating System. These tools provide school systems additional information to support internal evaluation of campus and district academic performance. TXSchools.gov will also publicly report the 2025 scale scores and ratings. 2024 will be found on the “Change Over Time” table on the Accountability Overview tab.
On August 15, 2025, TEA will also release the School Improvement (SI) federal identification list to the public on the 2025 Accountability System webpage. A TAA will be sent with next steps related to federal SI reporting.
District and Campus All Domain PDF Reports in TEAL
There will be a slight change for districts who use the “District and Campus- All Domain PDF” report in the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application for the 2024 and 2025 releases on August 13, 2025. When district officials download this report, it will only include the “Rating Overall Summary” for each campus in the district.
Users are encouraged to the “Accountability Listing,” available in public reports, which allows district users to see side by side performance for all campuses by domain. Additionally, this report features hyperlinks for each campus for further analysis.
2025 Final College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Student Listing Released
College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) is defined as the percentage of 2023–24 annual graduates or 2023–24 annual graduates plus non-graduating 12th graders who demonstrated CCMR by meeting any one of ten criteria. The 2025 Final CCMR Student Listing includes data for all students was released on August 1, 2025 and is now available in the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application.
Updated Campus Comparison Groups Now Available
Updated campus comparison groups are now available on the 2025 Accountability Rating System webpage. The updated campus comparison groups reflect changes to 42 campuses’ economically disadvantaged rates.
Extensions were provided to complete the PEIMS Fall TSDS Submission in S24-25. During the extension, some districts experienced issues accurately submitting their economic disadvantage indicator data. As a result, updated data has been provided to Performance Reporting, which was used to update 2025 Campus Comparison groups.
Industry-Based Certifications Preliminary 2025-30 List Now Available
Subject to the rulemaking process for the 2027 accountability manual, IBCs that were on the 2022-25 list but will not be on the 2025-30 list are subject to a one-year sunsetting period. During this one-year period, school systems may continue to report IBCs from the 2022-25 list for both accountability and reimbursement purposes for the class of 2026. Of note, at present there are only 23 IBCs from the old list being removed from the new list.
2028 A-F Refresh Public Feedback
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is gathering public suggestions for improvement to the A-F Accountability System for consideration of inclusion in the 2028 A-F Accountability System refresh.
