2024-2025 General/Expedited Waivers & Class Size Exception Deadline: July 6, 2025*

The purpose of this email is to notify you that the deadline to submit General/Expedited Waiver and Class Size Exception applications for the 2024-2025 school year is July 6, 2025.
This deadline applies to the following waivers/exceptions:
- Accelerated Instruction Waiver
- Bilingual Exception/ESL Waiver
- Certifications Waiver
- Course Requirement Waiver
- Course Requirement (CTE) Waiver
- Foreign Exchange Student Waiver (5 or More Per High School)
- Foreign Exchange Student Waiver (Less Than 5 Per High School)
- Maximum Class Size Exception
- Modified Schedule State Assessment Testing Days Waiver
- Other Waiver
- Pregnancy Related Services On-Campus (CEHI) Waiver
- Remote Conferencing and Remote Homebound Waiver
- School Safety Waiver
- Staff Development Minutes Waiver
- Teacher Portal for Texas Assessment Program Data Waiver
The 2025-2026 application for most of the waivers identified above will open on July 7, 2025 at which point 2024-2025 will no longer be an option to select/apply for. The 2025-2026 Accelerated Instruction Waiver, Bilingual Exception/ESL Waiver, and Maximum Class Size Exception applications will open at later dates (see the State Waivers webpage for specifics).
Note: this deadline does not apply to attendance-related waivers (Missed School Day, Low Attendance Day, ADSY). Attendance-related waivers for the 2024-2025 school year may be submitted no later than July 31, 2025.
