School System Informational Opportunities
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) will conduct the following informational sessions for school system staff through a webinar. Please register for the session in advance by clicking on the title of the session in the chart below. As a result of U.S. Department of Education’s (USDE’s) Monitoring Visit, TEA will be integrating additional subrecipient monitoring.
ESSA Consolidated Federal and Title I, Part A Homeless Reservation Worksheet Required Submission, Post Award Reviews
- The Title I, Part A Homeless Reservation Worksheet submission for the school systems that are a part of the 25% random sample for ESSA Consolidated Federal post award application reviews.
If your school system is randomly selected for the post award review of the 2025-2026 ESSA Consolidated Federal grant application, a newly integrated aspect of the post award review, is the required submission of the Title I, Part A Homeless Reservation Worksheet (or equivalent). Training on the newly added requirement for the 25% random sample will be facilitated in June 2025.

In addition, the Title I, Part A Homeless Reservation will be monitored via a 10% random sample validation in the spring of 2026.
Title II, Part A and Title III, Part A Supplement Not Supplant (SNS) Professional Development Worksheet and Random Validation
- The Title II, Part A, and Title III, Part A Supplement, Not Supplant (SNS) as it relates to funds being utilized for Professional Development, will be monitored via random data validations in the spring of 2026.
- The Title II, Part A and Title III, Part A SNS Professional Development Worksheet Introduction sessions are an opportunity for school systems to view the required worksheets that school systems must maintain locally in the event they are a part of the 10% random sample to be validated in the spring of 2026.
In the event school systems are unable to attend the scheduled training sessions, a recorded version of these trainings will be posted on the Post Award Compliance webpage.
