The Texas Mobile STEM Laboratory is wrapping up another successful year. The program served 42 campuses and 10,000 students this year. Here are some campus spotlights from April.

Orange Grove ISD

The Elementary students and staff at Orange Grove loved having the Texas Mobile STEM Laboratory visit us! Because of the flexibility and options provided by Learning Undefeated, our science teachers experienced a different lesson with each of their classes. The activities included designing a prosthetic hand, using a circuit design to improve a toy, designing a flood barrier, designing a barn to house animals, and building an artificial pollinator. Students were amazed at the requirements to meet the STEM challenges and loved how they had to work within teams to create a project plan and stay within a budget. Students were also impressed with the career ideas that the Learning Undefeated team highlighted. Nothing is better than hearing students talk about their lessons with excitement and wonder! This is an experience they will not soon forget! We look forward to reusing these STEM Lab lessons and implementing even more in the next few years!

Austin ISD

Lee Lewis Campbell Elementary School would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Mobile STEM Lab team for bringing such an exciting and enriching experience to our scholars. The hands-on activities, engaging demonstrations, and real-world connections made STEM come alive for our scholars in ways that were both fun and educational. It was truly inspiring to see their curiosity ignited and their confidence grow as they explored science, technology, engineering, and math through interactive learning. Opportunities like this create lasting memories and deepen scholars' love for learning. We are incredibly grateful for your time, energy, and dedication to supporting STEM education, and we would absolutely welcome the opportunity to participate again in the future. Whitney ISD

Rudy Hikel, Assistant Principal at Whitney Middle School, shared that teachers and students enjoyed the Texas Mobile STEM Laboratory's three-day visit. The Learning Undefeated instructors were great, and the students had an experience they will remember for a while. Many students and parents have reached out asking to apply for another visit. Thank you for having this available for schools across Texas. The hands-on approach is the key to piquing students’ interest in STEM.  

Technology Applications TEKS Training at Regional Service Centers

Launch_K5 CS is a dynamic three-day hybrid workshop designed for K–5 educators, crafted to align seamlessly with the new K–5 technology applications TEKS implemented beginning in the 2024–2025 school year. Each workshop spans two or three in-person days and an asynchronous course, providing all necessary resources and materials to help teachers successfully train students in essential 21st-century skills (including up to $200 worth of physical computing kits). These workshops are free of charge and open to any interested Texas educator.
