Greetings!

Hello Strong Foundations Approved Providers,

As we step into the month of May, we want to extend our gratitude for your continued support and active participation in the 2025–26 LASO grant cycle. With four months already behind us, we are thrilled to see school systems making their choices for Approved Providers.

This month is particularly significant as it marks the submission of executed contracts, our first major milestone. We eagerly anticipate receiving these contracts from our participating school systems and look forward to our ongoing interactions through Office Hours, Meetings, and training sessions.

Best,

Strong Foundations Team

Milestones

Shared Milestones (Planning and Implementation)

Executed Contract due May 16, 2025: Please support school systems that you partner with to complete and upload their executed contracts into their Google folder by May 16.

Training reminder: If you see a training date on the Cycle 3 AP Training Schedule, but you do not see that date listed on the  AP Training Registration Portal, it means that session is full. If you are unable to attend a training date because it is full and no other training will work with your schedule, please reach out to our team and we will see if we can arrange to accommodate you!

RBIS Pre/Post Surveys: Starting April 25, the Pre- and Post-Survey for RBIS are individualized for each Approved Provider. The unique link (same link for Pre- and Post-Survey) has been emailed to your Strong Foundations Manager, as well as everyone on your team that is RBIS certified or in process (we may have missed a few folks, feel free to forward to anyone who needs it). It is also available on your (Smartsheet) Strong Foundations Planning AP Dashboard.  You will need to update your decks with the new link/create a new QR code. Please note: this survey is only required for SFP districts, but you are welcome to give it to any LEA (all LEAs are on the drop down).

Strong Foundations Planning Milestones

Cycle 2 Deliverables – We are missing some Framework Rollout Plans for Cycle 2. Please submit them ASAP as this cycle is officially closing out. Upload deliverables into the school system’s Google Drive folder and submit the Deliverable Survey for Cycle 2.

Strong Foundations Implementation Milestones

May 5: End of Year Surveys will be sent to Cycle 2 school system contacts. They are due May 31. See more information about End of Year Surveys in the Reminders and Next Steps section.

May 16: Executed contracts are due. Use our new deliverables submission form to submit executed contracts with the school systems you’re partnered with.

May 23: First quarterly meetings for Strong Foundations Implementation. As a reminder, these meetings are required. Strong Foundations managers should attend the Implementation Advisor meeting

  • Product Advisor SFI May Quarterly meeting – May 23, 9:00 a.m. (Registration Link)
  • Implementation Advisor SFI May Quarterly meeting – May 23, 10:15 a.m. (Registration Link)

Reminders & Next Steps

Strong Foundations Planning Reminders:

Additional RBIS Training: Please visit the Training Schedule to see the dates and register on the AP Registration Portal. Approved providers can also access TEA Learn for the asynchronous RBIS Non-Certification Pathway training for math and RLA.

Dashboard: Planning Dashboards should be up-to-date and accurate, including all new people who have registered via the AP Registration Portal. Please use the tools at the top of your organization’s dashboard to report mistakes or schedule time to meet about the dashboard.

Registration Portal: The registration portal has many automations, including calendar invites, materials, and confirmation emails, for things that you register for. Please read the confirmation page after any submission for instructions on what to do if you do not receive any automation in your inbox within 15 minutes of submission.

Cycle 3 AP Monthly Meetings (required) – Sign up for this cycle’s AP Monthly Meetings; the next one is May 30 at 9:00 a.m. This is a time for us to collaborate, share ideas, problem solve, delve deeper into SFP deliverables, and strengthen our work with school systems. They are required for all SF Managers and AP District Leads. Register with this link.

(Optional) Office Hours – We hold optional office hours to ask questions, gain clarity, and seek support. The next one is on 5/12. Register with this link

Strong Foundations Implementation Reminders:

Review this resource which outlines key stakeholder actions through each quarter of the grant cycle.

NEW: Cycle 3 Approved Provider Dashboard is live!

Please take a little time to review the guidance document for the Cycle 3 dashboard as it’s pretty different than the one you are used to using for SFI for Cycle 2. Both the guidance document and the dashboard are linked on the Strong Foundations Website SFI AP Resources page.

We will be hosting an optional Office Hours session all about the SFI Cycle 3 Dashboard! Come to see a more detailed walkthrough and to ask any questions you may have. May 16, 9:00a.m. SFI AP Dashboard Office Hours (Registration link)

NEW: Cycle 2 End of Year Surveys - due on May 31.

We have sent out direct survey links to teachers, coaches, and leaders who are present on each school system’s roster.  You can track school systems’ completion progress on the SFI Cycle 2 dashboard. Note: we will update the dashboard once a week on Fridays, so you will be able to see weekly who we have received submissions from each district. Action required: please encourage those who have not completed to submit surveys before May 31. Participants should have already received survey links via an automated email from Qualtrics, but if they did not, you can share the anonymous links below with any participants based on their roles:

NEW: Cycle 3 Rostering

We are announcing our new LEA Rostering System to districts in the newsletter they receive this week. This system, similar to the AP registration portal, will allow districts to update and adjust their rosters as needed in the cycle. At the beginning of the grant, district leaders will likely use the option to mass-upload a roster which is included in this portal. Action required: please work with your districts to get update rosters in our system before August 1, 2025.

Please use this form to upload the link to your contract with each of the school systems you are working with. You will use this same form to submit SFI Implementation Plans and rubric scores as well as any needed extension requests.

NEW: SFI SI PLC Best Practices Training is now open for registration.

In response to feedback from APs who attended the SI PLC Training sessions in April, we are offering SI PLC Best Practices training sessions for any non-ESC Approved Provider who would like to learn more about effective PLC facilitation for SI PLC campuses. These optional, live, virtual training sessions will be offered June 16–18 or August 19–21 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Register for a session on the Strong Foundations AP Registration Portal. Sessions are limited to 75 participants.

Reminder: Instructional Materials update: On July 31, the CER pilot instructional materials that align with SBOE-approved Bluebonnet Learning materials will be removed from all TEA platforms. LEAs implementing in SFI in LASO Cycle 2 are using the CER pilot instructional materials, so please share this information with them. This May, the agency is launching the Bluebonnet Learning portal which will provide digital access to all Bluebonnet Learning instructional materials for K–3 Foundational Skills, K–5 Reading Language Arts, K–5 Math, and Secondary Mathematics (Grades 6–8, Algebra I), as well as implementation supports and Bluebonnet Learning pilot programs. You can find more information in the Bluebonnet Learning CER Updates.
