Commissioner of Education Rules
The following Texas Administrative Code (TAC) rule actions were filed with the Texas Register for publication in the April 18, 2025 issue.
Proposed Amendment to 19 TAC Chapter 97, Planning and Accountability, Subchapter AA, Accountability and Performance Monitoring, §97.1001, Accountability Rating System Summary: The proposed amendment would adopt in rule applicable excerpts of the 2026 Accountability Manual. Earlier versions of the manual will remain in effect with respect to the school years for which they were developed. Resumen en Español: La modificación propuesta adoptaría como norma pasajes aplicables del Manual de rendición de cuentas del año 2026. Las versiones anteriores del Manual seguirán vigentes con respecto a los años escolares para los que fueron elaboradas. Proposed Amendment to 19 TAC Chapter 101, Assessment, Subchapter DD, Commissioner's Rules Concerning Substitute Assessments for Graduation, §101.4002, State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness End-of-Course Substitute Assessments Summary: The proposed amendment would update the list of approved substitute assessments to include the addition of the PreACT 8/9 and the PreACT assessments. Resumen en Español: La modificación propuesta actualizaría la lista de evaluaciones sustitutas aprobadas con el fin de incluir la adición de las evaluaciones PreACT 8/9 y PreACT. Publication in the Texas Register: April 18, 2025 Public Comment Period: April 18, 2025-May 19, 2025.
