News from the Federal Program Compliance Division
Federal Programs Planner - Version 2.0 Released
The Federal Program Compliance Division and Division of Emergent Bilingual Support, in coordination with the Statewide ESSA Title I, Part A Capacity Building Initiative, have published a new version of the Federal Programs Planner that includes the addition of Title I, Part D, Subpart 2 activities; Title III, Part A activities; and Parent and Family Engagement activities in the Title I, Part A sections.
This Federal Programs Planner is intended to be a tool for LEA Directors administering the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) programs referenced. Each month, you will find that there are activities/reminders to be considered across the following ESSA programs: Title I, Part A; Title I, Part C; Title I, Part D, Subparts 1 and 2; Title II, Part A; Title III, Part A; Title IV, Part A; Private Non-Profit School Equitable Services (PNP). As many of the programs overlap across years, activities and funds, we have color coded the activities referenced in the planner: Blue - considerations/actions for the current school year; Red - finalize/wrap up the previous school year; and Green - planning for the upcoming school year. The last pages of the planner include a list of commonly used acronyms related to federal programs, grants, and compliance.
We hope you find this resource helpful as you plan for the 2025-2026 school year.
For your convenience, the planner is available as a full page downloadable document on the following website: https://www.esc20.net/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=2004194&type=d&pREC_ID=2420772.
A limited amount of planners will be printed and distributed at the upcoming Title I, Part A Compliance Academies and at the Spring ACET Conference.
