Instructional Materials Review and Approval (IMRA)

IMRA Reviewer Application Deadline Extended!

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is seeking Texas educators and subject-matter experts to apply as instructional materials reviewers for the 2025 Instructional Materials Review and Approval (IMRA) cycle The application window has been extended, and reviewer applications will now be accepted on a rolling basis until March 12, 2025, at 11:59 pm CST. 

There is a high need for reviewers for K–3 ELAR, K–12 mathematics (English), and K–6 mathematics (Spanish) as the 2025 review cycle will focus on the evaluation of:

  • full-subject, tier-one instructional materials for K–12 English mathematics, K–6 Spanish mathematics, and K–6 English and Spanish language arts and reading (ELAR and SLAR); 
  • partial-subject, tier-one instructional materials for K–3 English and Spanish phonics; and 
  •  supplemental materials for K–12 English mathematics and K–6 Spanish mathematics.

IMRA reviewers are provided a competitive stipend and continuing professional education (CPE) credits for their contributions to this statewide initiative. Apply today to help improve the quality and suitability of instructional materials for educators and students across Texas!
