What does it mean for a partner to run or operate a district campus?
The partner has responsibility for personnel, as well as authority over decisions related to curriculum, calendar, and assessments. The district holds the partner accountable through a performance contract outlining academic goals for the school, as well as the division of roles and responsibilities.
Where can I find information about the support available for students with dyslexia?
The Texas Dyslexia Handbook is developed and adopted into administrative rule by the Texas State Board of Education. The handbook contains guidelines for school districts to follow as they identify and provide services for students with dyslexia. In addition, information regarding the state's dyslexia statutes and their relation to various federal laws is included. Additional resources and are available on our Dyslexia and Related Disorders website. If you have questions, please call the State Dyslexia Helpline at (800) 232-3030.
