2028 A-F Refresh Public Feedback

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is gathering public suggestions for improvement to the A-F Accountability System for consideration of inclusion in the 2028 A-F Accountability System refresh. Suggestions can be submitted with the following link, 2028 A-F Refresh Public Feedback, posted to the Accountability System Development webpage.

2024 Data Validations

As of February 13, 2025, LEAs may retrieve their Discipline Data Validation (DDV) report to determine if the LEA triggered any DDV indicators by logging into the Texas Education Agency Login (TEAL) portal to access the Accountability application. Reports can be found under the “Performance-Based Monitoring” tab. Leaver Records Data Validation reports were made available on February 6, 2025.

Please note, the Discipline Data Validation and Leaver Records Data Validation Manuals were updated on January 30, 2025, and provide additional details about the changes noted above. These manuals also outline the specific data validation indicators and expectations for LEAs. The updated manuals are posted on the Data Validation Manuals webpage.

Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) Data Downloads Now Available

The TAPR Data Download link is now available on the 2024–25 Texas Academic Performance Reports webpage. The TAPR Data Download is for users who wish to download data for all campuses, districts, or education service centers (ESC) in the state. Once downloaded, users will be able to manipulate the data using a spreadsheet or software program in .csv format.

2025 Academic Accountability System Overview Now Available

The 2025 Academic Accountability System Overview document was published to the 2025 Accountability System webpage. This resource provides a condensed summary of the accountability system in Texas and is designed to assist stakeholders in understanding the system.

Spring 2025 STAAR Administration

• Delivery of Test Administrator Manuals

District testing personnel will receive copies of the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) test administrator manuals between February 18 and February 21, 2025.  District testing personnel may log in to the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) to see how many copies of the STAAR Test Administrator Manual they will receive.

• Out-of-School and Out-of-District Examinee Registration

The window for districts to register participating out-of-school (OOS) and out-of-district (OOD) examinees for the spring 2025 STAAR administration opend February 19, 2025. Districts must register examinees by March 1 using the STAAR Out-of-School and Out-of-District Examinee Registration Form. Refer to the STAAR Out-of-School and Out-of-District Administrations page of the District and Campus Coordinator Resources for more information.

STAAR Alternate 2 Administration

District testing personnel will receive the initial shipment of secure test materials for the STAAR Alternate 2 administration between February 18 and February 21, 2025. The 2025 STAAR Alternate 2 Image Card List has been posted to the Texas Assessment website. District personnel may order additional test materials needed between March 10 and April 14 and additional return labels by April 23. Refer to the Prepare for Paper Administrations page of the Coordinator Resources for more information regarding STAAR Alternate 2 initial and additional orders.

December 2024 STAAR Reports

As indicated in the Texas Education Agency (TEA) correspondence dated November 21, 2024, the Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) fall submission due date has been extended twice. Therefore, the PEIMS information update in TIDE will occur later than scheduled, delaying final assessment reports for accountability for the December 2025 STAAR administration. New final reporting dates will be provided as soon as they are available.
