As we welcome February, we are excited to share the latest updates and opportunities designed to support your continued success. This month, we highlight resources, upcoming events, and important reminders to help you stay informed and engaged.
Please be sure that the Strong Foundations Manager for your organization has signed up for an AP Check-In. Please use the AP Check-in Sign Up to register for a time that works for your team and see below for more details. The deadline to sign up for a check-in is Monday, February 10.

Strong Foundations Joint Milestones
AP-TEA Check-ins: To help ensure clarity of communication and support systems from TEA to approved providers, we are holding a series of meetings this spring so the TEA team can connect directly with each AP organization. These meetings are required for all SF Managers and optional and recommended for AP District Leads and Implementation Advisors. The Strong Foundations Planning and Implementation teams will be present if your organization is supporting LEAs in both programs.
The purpose of this meeting is to:
- Check the status of certifications
- Review LEA grant engagement and deliverables
- Hold Q&A time with SFP and SFI teams
Please use the AP Check-in Sign Up to register for a time that works for your team and reach out to strongfoundations@tea.texas.gov with any questions.
Cycle 3 SF and TXLS AP Registration Portal: Starting this year, the place to register for all SFP, SFI, TXLS is in one place! This registration portal will send you a calendar invite and a Zoom link for all sessions you register for. You can also return to this link at any time to check your registrations, change them, or add new registrations. The dates and details provided in the training schedule remain the same.
NEW RBIS Non-Certification Pathway in Math or Literacy: This important 2-day deep-dive into the research on how students learn in math or literacy will be available in early 2025 and may be required for you, depending on your role in Strong Foundations. Please review the training schedule to determine if this training is required for your role. If you attended a two-day RBIS training at another service provider (such as an ESC), please email proof of attendance (certificate, etc.) to strongfoundations@tea.texas.gov and we will update your record on the dashboard. Just a note that this is a minimum requirement for AP District Leads and SF Managers, so if you are fully RBIS certified, you do not need to complete this training.
AP Promotional Videos: Our website showcases videos from Approved Providers who want to share their Strong Foundations services with LEAs. If you would like to submit or update your organization’s video, please send a publicly viewable YouTube link to strongfoundations@tea.texas.gov. We are accepting videos on a rolling basis, with no deadline, but districts will likely start looking at contracting with Approved Providers in late February. Please allow 5 business days for new videos to be uploaded to the website. Please view guidance for video creation before creating a video for submission.
Reminder: HQIM Learning Labs: Spring dates are on the calendar! They are sure to fill up fast, so please encourage your districts to sign up soon! A couple of notes regarding Learning Labs:

Filling out the form is a request for a visit. Visits are not guaranteed, and are dependent on group size, district capacity, etc.
- If you sign up for a visit, be sure that you are in frequent conversation with the Innovator district if changes need to be made.

Strong Foundations Planning Milestones
EOG Surveys for APs: Strong Foundations Managers and AP District Leads will receive a link to your unique survey no later than February 10. Please plan to take 15-20 minutes to complete the survey, and please plan to complete the survey in one sitting. If you do not receive the link, or have any questions about the survey, please email strongfoundations@tea.texas.gov.
Past Due: Instructional Framework: Milestone date for submission was December 13. If you need an extension, please fill out the extension request form. If you have already submitted an extension request form, you do not need to complete another form.
Past Due: Framework Rollout Plan: Milestone date for submission was January 31. If you need an extension, please fill out the extension request form. If you have already submitted an extension request form, you do not need to complete another form.

Strong Foundations Planning Reminders:
Framework & Framework Rollout Plan Coaching Sessions: We’ve extended the coaching to continue through February and you can now get feedback on your Framework Rollout Plan! It’s also not too late to have frameworks reviewed. Bring an LEA leader or your entire Leadership Team to the coaching session. There will be plenty of glows and feedback will be gentle. Sign-up here!
(Required) AP Monthly Meeting: You will choose to attend EITHER the February or March AP Monthly Meeting. They will be repeating sessions to go over all SFP changes, new resources, dashboards, and the revamped website. You will have the opportunity to interact with our SFP Playbook that includes new supports for LASO Cycle 3. February 28 at 9:15 a.m. or March 28 at 9:15 a.m. All SF Managers and AP District Leads are required to attend monthly meetings. Registration for all AP Meetings.
AP Playbook: Changes to the AP Playbook were made following the January 31 AP Monthly Meeting to reflect LASO Cycle 3.
AP Kickoff Makeup Attendance/Q&A: Please visit the interactive calendar on the Strong Foundations website to access the recording and anchor document, which includes the exit ticket to record your missed attendance.
Strong Foundations Implementation Reminders:
NEW: February 14 from 9:00–10:00 a.m. EMAT 101: Supporting LEAs' Bluebonnet Learning Print Procurement (Registration link) Please join us to learn more about EMAT, the state’s online ordering system, which LEAs will use to procure print materials if awarded Strong Foundations Implementation. This training will provide you with tools to better support districts who will be using Bluebonnet Learning Instructional materials in SY 2025–26.
